The Union of Elian Free States (UEFS or U.E.F.S.), commonly known as the Free States or the Empire Coast, is a sovereign state in Elia Borealis, encompassing almost the entirety of its western coast. The Free States border the Medan Ocean to the west and Eskavia to the east; it also shares a maritime border with the Waldish overseas territory of Coshaqua. It is the largest country in Elia Borealis by both land area and population. The capital is St. Leon (Hyacinthean: Saint-Léon), and the largest city is Fastings (Helmenska: Fästinki, Waldish: Festningsborg). The country has six official languages: Hyacinthean, Helmish, Fallish, Waldish, Noscan and Lavish.
