Ignesia (/ɪˈɡniʒə/ | Ignesia (/ɪˈɡniʒə/ Santer: Igneza, /ɪˈɡ'neʒə/), officially the Empire of the Great Ignesia (Rox Ignezempäxi Axempär), is a country in the Eastern hemisphere that comprises of the entirety of the continent of Vimicia , and also includes the major Imperial Dominions of Irvaran, Duslan, and Perastlos . Ignesia shares sea-borders with Zheynes and Karvahlanovos through Ivraran. The total area of Ignesia and its dominions is 111.32 million km2, with a population of around 3.5 billion, almost all of which live in Ignesia proper. Ignesia is surrounded by the Visivean Ocean to its east, the Novanei to its north, the Duslavians to its west, and the Strayastlos Strait to its south.
Humans came fron the continent of Avanere to settle the continent back in 1,500 BE, the most notable of these being the Proto-Hysanter peoples. The proto-Ignesian, or Ignevan people, would settle in the Prexarima River, developing the earliest forms of automated agricultural devices, state religion, and urbanization, with many cities built during the Hlepreve dynasty (1300-1000 BE) still surviving until this day, The Yleneler dynasty of Igneva (900-400 BE) is the longest lasting historical state in existence, and many innovations and the birth of the Nexarnean religions would take place during the period. After the fall of the Yleneler, Vimicius would reunite Igneva and proceed to conquer all of Vimicia, but his First Ignesian Empire would fall after Xernos' usurpation in 392 AE.

The Trissala Revolutions in the 1940s and 1950s would heavily damage the already weakened Avanere powers that endured the World War just decades prior, and would further Ignesia's hegemony as the sole power in world affairs, forming the AID, the predecessor to the Association of Nations.

The | The origin of the name of Ignesia is disputed. Early on, many scholars presumed Ignesia to refer to Igneis, a figure in Nexarnism. But recently, many rebuke this assumption, arguing that it comes from a portmanteau of Igneva and the Ignevan word seia, meaning state, literally meaning "state of Igneva". The word Igneva originated from the Gandernan word "Icnieva", meaning "fire worshipper", possibly relating to the pre-Nexarnam religions that predated the establishment of the First Ignesian Empire.
There is | There is another theory that was formulated in modern times, which suggests that Ignesia was named as such due to the Naralian translation of Denelssene's work on the discovery of Vimicia, which used Ignezia instead of Igneza from the original work.

The first recorded leader of Igneva, Uvnak, founded the Hlepreve dynasty in around the years 1350-1250 BE, and would be known for cities such as Ievelox (now Yleverneler) surviving even 3000 years after their construction, and their clay monuments such as the Enazkza. The cause for its fall is relatively unknown, and records that succeeded the period would be few and far between, in the era called "The Lost Period" in Ignesian academic circles.
According to a majority of historians, the first ever record of an Ignevan state after the fall of the Hlepreve, about 1000 BE, was led by Ylenel and his Yleneler dynasty and coincided with the rise of the Ganderna peoples in 900 BE. This was the start of the Second Ignevan Period, where the Yleneler dynasty constructed monuments made out of metals such as gold, bronze, and the like. Primitive paper production also coincided with this era. The Yleneler dynasty would fall in around 400 BE, as a result of destructive natural phenomena that left the capital city of Ielevox in ruins and the last Yleneler Axemparex dead, along with her family. | According to a majority of historians, the first ever record of an Ignevan state after the fall of the Hlepreve, about 1000 BE, was led by Ylenel and his Yleneler dynasty and coincided with the rise of the Ganderna peoples in 900 BE. Since | Since Uvyldina, the post-Vimicius period would witness one of, if not the, greatest cultural booms in world history, and when major sites of architectural grandeur such as the Ixarene Sectezer and the Exa Runuv Igneza were built, which the famous gold-lined marble arthchitectural style would take inspiration from during this era. The Ignesian state fell into a era of stagnation and the loss of central authority over many regions, with factions vying for Ignesian primacy, and some vying for the dissolution of the nation entirely. Around the 600s, the steam engine was adopted in the Veltreser Empire and spread in its usage across Vimicia, noticably advancing military technology to aid in the constant state of war in the continent. Through industrialization the first signs of the Vererezare, literally "worker's union", would show themselves, shifting power into the expanding middle-class, although the states of Vimicia still retained control over most of commerce. This pact was unofficially broken when Ignesia joined the World War against the allies of Zheynes, and Zheynes by extension as well. This was not recognized by both nations as an abandonment of the pact, however.
The rise of commerce between Zheynes and Ignesia facilitated a new phase in Ignesian industrialization. The vererezaren would leverage themselves into becoming the de-facto middle-class of Ignesia and Veltreser, replacing the merchants as the worker's unions seized full autonomy and profited through the Zheynesian trade. This led to the rise of families such as the Nekvel who also became the de-facto nobility, taking control of almost all commerce and union activity in major areas. This led to the rise of "union dynasties" where leadership of the vererezaren would be passed down to descendants, and the union members comprising a state apparatus. Ignesia was also a main contributor in the | Ignesia was also a main contributor in the Valeonean War and the Krallic Wars, fighting alongside its ally Zheynes during the infamous Battle of Cingue. The nation would lean itself into international affairs, and would participate in colonization under the Pecernean period, notably seizing what is today Vesar Kanage in the Eurrenean Congress. Its maritime trading histories helped with its involvement in world trade, effectively controlling many economies in Selese and Avanere themselves. The contributions of Ignesian cooperation with Avanere would lead to the gradual industrialization of the rest of the world. The Ignesian state would cement itself as a international hegemon, and a world power only rivaled by the Ferrenese.
The rapid globalization of the Ignesian economy in the late 18th and early 19th centuries would foster the centralization of power from the traditional Vererezare to the commercialists, prominently Ferej Ljang and Varcy Crusscerd. Ignesia's response, the Proletariat Revolution, would be a significant step towards democratic institution in Ignesia, as the working class would push for the restriction of the Axemparex's powers and modernization of the industrial sector. Women's suffrage and the end of serfdom would follow this event, almost 50 years earlier than the abolishment of slavery by Ferren, the first nation outside Ignesia to end such a practice.
===World War and the Postwar===
| |||
From the start of the war in Novarius 1927 until it's end in Junus 1933 in the Treselin Accords, Ignesia would remain neutral in the World War, but would actively assert their sovereignty in both the colony in Kanage and their waters in the Visivean and Duslavian oceans, frequently showing aggression against both the Western and Eastern alliances. Ignesia under Axempavoceror Kulospe Varta would allow huge amounts of refugees from both sides in the Eurrenean front into their colony in the Kanage, bringing them to safety against the chemical warfare that was notorious in the Eurrenean front.
[[ | After the end of the war, Ignesia would seize the former Naralian colonies of Meknen and Oguvene after Varta's condemnation of Naralian occupation by the Western powers. Cepnist Lijava and Imperial Dezer would invade the colony in 1935 due to this in the Eurrenean Great War, but would spectacularly fail due to their recent sustained damage in the World War two years prior, and would end in Ignesian victory, securing both Oguvene and Meknen aswell as Gobien and the Charfal Islands, but only after a bloody 3 year war that was only rivaled by the World War. Yet, the conflict would be almost lopsided in terms of casualties; Ignesia sustained 3 million military casualties and 8 million civilian casualties, but the Western powers sustained 12 million military casualties and 9 million civilian casualties. Many historians cite this war as the start of the Postwar.
The now apparent aggression of the Western powers against Ignesia would lead to the formation of the Association of International Defense alongside Ferren and Hysante, and with the acquisition of nuclear weapons by the Ignesians just 2 years prior would cement Ignesia as a force against Cepnism during the Postwar. The accession of New Ferren and Lumanne as an observer state would strengthen the pact, and solidify the AID as an actual world alliance. But, New Ferren would later pull out of the pact a decade later after the Trissala Revolutions
====Trissala Revolutions====
The fall of the Dezerian Empire, and in its wake the F.P.A.S., shook the world order as it was known. With the Phaternist nation claiming third superpower status, revolutions all over Avanere would break down both the Cepnist and Ignesian blocs, and would also bring insurgency across Eurrene and Selese, aligning themselves to the Phaternist Avanere Sil. Revolution would flame up in the nations of Lenece, Sevasne, the Meretian Union, Upper Naralia, and most notably Ferren.
The Ferrenese Civil War was the turning point in Ignesian domestic and foreign policy. As one of the first revolutions that occured during the Trissala period, the National Phaternist State of Ferren closely aligned with the newly founded Avanere Sil. This civil war would antagonize the Ignesian government and public against the Phaternist revolutions across the world. This would lead to the Great Closure, forcing all businesses that were supposedly bankrolled by the Phaternists to close up, and the end of political worker's unions in the nation. The Ignesia-aligned Ferrenese United Front would fail to recapture Ferren, and the embarassment of the civil war would lead Ignesia to adopt a very hawkish and aggressive foreign policy, differing from that of the largely defensive and peaceful nature of the AID before the civil war.
The political landscape of the Ignesian state shifted largely toward the right, with some in the Ignestex even supporting the restoration of the absolute rule of the Axemparex to rid the government of Phaternist influence, whatever it may cost. This would lead to another turning point in Ignesia, when Axemparex Empaxerosfina winning in the 1960 election for Axempavoceror against incumbent Lexos Tianqiang.
===Post-Trissala and Ignesia under Empaxerosfina===
The | The Trissala wave of revolutions heavily devastated Avanere, and led to yet another mass immigration of peoples from Naralia, Ferren, Hysante, Ovessia, and many other nations to Ignesia, and the nation would experience large population and economic growth during the time. The "Second Great Western Wave", coined by Ignesian newsletter writer Islexer Perescene, would bring many intellectuals to Ignesia. This would lead to a major increase in the Khrusene population in Ignesia.
The | The western wave would heavily influence Ignesia's trajectory in the Space Race, as men such as Rechdragan Welter and Jean Fabian Delcran helped in developing Ignesia's space program, with the former becoming the first man on space, and which the latter would land on the veun in 1960, and even land on Oer 7 years later in 1967. With the huge lead in the Space Race, Ignesia would seek to militarize space through the installing the infamous Verusteace thermonuclear weapons on bases in the veun after the creation of the Ivaceneatuler, gaining condemnation from almost all other nations, and contributed to the creation of the Union of Allied Nations by Ovessia and New Ferren.
After the election of Empaxerosfina as Axempavoceror, an unprecedented shift in society would take place. Referred to as the "Zokhrenempaxi" ("Grand Program"), the Ignesian goovernment would take huge steps in racial equality with both Ignesians and Ailexen aswell as ethnicities that grew in population during the Second Great Western Wave through the Zokhrenvunitex ("Unity Program") and racial unity legislature in 1961. Empaxerosfina would also pass major legislature pertaining pensions and unemployment subsidies, and would reinstitute minimum wage and standardization of the work day hours. His most well known contribution is the Nete Sovisefvaterne ("Public Services Act") which put in place universal healthcare, universal basic income, nominally universal housing, end of private education, mandatory schooling, and massive regulation on the running of prisons across Ignesia. This would cause massive backlash across the right-wing in Ignesia, but would help the left-leaning in Ignesia to regain their position in the political landscape. Empaxerosfina would be assasinated in 1982 after a speech in Vrezar Xernesia, sparking protests and widespread disorder, which would be resolved at the Turevimec Agreement in 1985.
===Present day=== | |||
The world would yet again face a tumultous time period in the 1980s when the Cepnist Lijavan nation fell into civil war, ending its hegemony across continental Avanere and leaving only the F.P.A.S. and Ignesia as sole superpowers, but the Phaternist regimes across Avanere and Eurrene would collapse after Avanere Sil went into disarray, falling into warlordism in 1997. The major expansion of the AID alliance since Empaxerosfina' time would lead it to encompass almost all the world after the collapse of its rivals, the Rszveteruneion and the Treaty Organization of Avanere, in the 1980s and mid-1990s respectively. Rapprochement between the Union of Allied Nations would lead to a merger between the two alliances in 2000, creating the Association of Nations.
Leaving Ignesia as the lone superpower of the world, the nation would participate in the Ovessia-Zheynes War after the bombing of Huefeng Square in 2004. The attack possibly caused the stock market crash of 2005, although Ignesia was left unharmed due to the policies that were put in place.

Ignesia (/ɪˈɡniʒə/ Santer: Igneza, /ɪˈɡ'neʒə/), officially the Empire of the Great Ignesia (Rox Ignezempäxi Axempär), is a country in the Eastern hemisphere that comprises of the entirety of the continent of Vimicia , and also includes the major Imperial Dominions of Irvaran, Duslan, and Perastlos .
Several states emerged and seceded from Ignesia, but would be reconquered after the Vecepere, an era of constant warring across Vimicia that ended in 1362. The discovery of the continent by Denelssene in 1529 would mark the beginning of the Western Incursions, when many nations from the continent of Avanere attempted to seize land from Ignesia and to colonize the continent. After the end of the Western Incursions, Ignesia would also partake in colonization, establish many dominions in the West. The World War would cripple the Avanere continent, and would cement Ignesia as the world's foremost power. The Trissala Revolutions in the 1940s and 1950s would heavily damage the already weakened Avanere powers that endured the World War just decades prior, and would further Ignesia's hegemony as the sole power in world affairs, forming the AID, the predecessor to the Association of Nations.
Ignesia's government is structured as a semi-constitutional monarchy, with the Axemparex and Ignestex, the Ignesian legislative body, as the main heads of the nation. The capital and largest city is Vrezar Vimicia, where 86 million people reside. Vrespe, Hercan, and Ilvane are considered the major cities of Ignesia, with the last of which considered as the financial centre of the nation. Ignesia has many states that lie outside of Vimicia. Some are Imperial Dominions, semi-independent polities that function with their own local government, but are not exempt from Ignesian law.
Recognized as the world's first industrialized nation, Ignesia is the leading military, scientific, and cultural force in the world, and is a high-income country characterized by very high quality of life, diverse economy and geography, and culture. The Ignesian nix (₡) is officially the world's reserve currency by the AON, which Ignesia founded as the Association of International Defense (AID) in the 1938 Treaty of Rox Kvale, and is a member of its two major subsidiaries the WMO and the OCP, aswell as the Avanere-Vimicia Cooperation Group, with AON subsidiary alliances such as the PVC, the PAP, and the PEUS. The nation ranks high in measures of education, healthcare, technological advancement, and human rights, and ranking low in corruption, and below average in cultural diversity and equality. The GDP of Ignesia is estimated to be over 102 trillion, more than 70% of the world's GDP, and has the highest median income in the world.
Etymology
The origin of the name of Ignesia is disputed.
There is another theory that was formulated in modern times, which suggests that Ignesia was named as such due to the Naralian translation of Denelssene's work on the discovery of Vimicia, which used Ignezia instead of Igneza from the original work.
History
Before Vimicius
Regarded as the Pre-Vimician era, this era encompasses the period after the discovery of the continent by proto-Hysanter peoples, until the end of the conquests of Vimicius. The first proto-Hysante peoples to have migrated from Hysante came at around 1500 BE.
Many tribes and civilizations would develop after the settlement by the proto-Hysanter, such as the Izactan, Venesscktyer, Castrelber, and many others.
700 years before the fall of the Yleneler, the prophet Nexarnam established the Nexarnamiste religion, which contrasted the animistic and sacrificial religions that the Yleneler upheld. Although it is only until Vimicius 1100 years later that Nexarnist faiths become the state religion of Igneva, the religion became very widespread across the masses, with the oldest recorded census of any Vimician civilization, the Ignevan census of 712BE, reports that over two-thirds of all participants, out of possibly 5,200,000-7,000,000, practiced Nexarnamiste.
Succeeding the Yleneler were a multitude of kingdoms and governorships that claimed successorship to the Ignevan title, but the results would end in stalemates, with the first phase of the wars ending with the Proseyl and Tacelpe states claiming hegemony only for a short 40-50 years, and the second phase ending with Vimicius's Ignesia.
Vimicius' conquests and First Ignesia
Vimicius, born around 137 BE, was born in the Gusel state, one of the three successor states of the Proseyl. At the age of presumably 14, he rose up to the ranks and even to one of the highest positions in the military of Gusel. At 16, according to ancient historians, as there is no record of this event, he overthrew the Gusel in the capital city with an army from Vernero, establishing his Ignesian state in the city, which was named Runuvas, renamed Vrezar Vimicia in his name.
Vimicius would wage a series of wars against the Ignevan states, known for their efficiency, as his army were the first ever to use gunpowder firearms, and gunpowder as a military weapon in general, the first organized military units were found here, and the first ever resemblance to a modern siege weapon was found in Vimicius' army.
One of his most influential decisions, however, was the splitting of the Nexarnist faiths at the Council of Primae. The Igneiser of the religion dismissed his claim as the successor of Ixar, a primary figure of Nexarnamiste, multiple times, until Vimicius proclaimed the removal of Nexarnamiste as the state religion and the installment of "Rexical Nexarnamiste" (nowadays known as "Nexarnism") in its place.
Vimicius would establish what modern historians call the "First Ignesian Empire" or simply "First Ignesia", the Ignesian state in the era between Vimicius and Xernos. This empire would stretch the entirety of what is now called Vimicia, and is the largest state in history beside today's Ignesia themselves. The period succeeding Vimicius would at first devolve into strife and rebellion, but would be promptly reunited by his grandson, Uvyldina.
Since Uvyldina, the post-Vimicius period would witness one of, if not the, greatest cultural booms in world history, and when major sites of architectural grandeur such as the Ixarene Sectezer and the Exa Runuv Igneza were built, which the famous gold-lined marble arthchitectural style would take inspiration from during this era. Philosophy and science under the Vrenexean period would significantly shape modern Ignesian values and would be an influence in Ignesia even 2100 years later, arts would be unrivaled in terms of influence in popular society, with the golden sculpture of Vimicius, owned by the House of Vimic, considered "the most valuable piece of art in the entire world".
First Ignesia would enter another period of strife during the 200s, when major rebellions by Vernero peoples were quelled by the Ignesian state, but would lead to seccession of many parts of Ganderna and Vernero. The slow but devastating decline of the First Ignesian Empire ended in 392, when Xernos ascended to the throne through usurpation, and would precede the Vecepere.
The Vecepere
The Vecepere is a period in Ignesian history characterized by constant hostility and the reconquest of periphery territories that defected as a result of the rebellions of the 200 s AE and Xernos' usurpation. The main adversary of Ignesia during this time was the states that followed the Nexarvishten religion after the Xernesian Schism that coincided with Xernos' ascension. The Nexarvishten faith acknowledged that Vishter, brother to Xernos and "true heir" of Ignesia, was the rightful ruler of Ignesia, and actively rebelled against Ignesian authority for over 800 years.
The Ignesian state fell into a era of stagnation and the loss of central authority over many regions, with factions vying for Ignesian primacy, and some vying for the dissolution of the nation entirely. Culture fell into a dark age, although the restoration and preservation of pre-Ignesian texts would take hold in society during this time, and the technological advancements of the nation at that time primarily contributed to only warfare. Society was more or less transformed into a militaristic oligarchy of the nobility and the elite of Vimicius' dynasty, constantly at war to reclaim the territories that seceded.
Outside of Ignesia, new powers would be birthed during the turbulent times of the Vecepere. The Vetrelser Empire was the main adversary of Ignesia for most of the Vecepere, and constituted what is today Veltrensen. The Khuxe and Iylpeve vied for control of the Bay of Desece, establishing themselves as maritime powers that facilitated trade in an otherwise warring continent. These states would also contain a early form of today's Ignesian political system, with a aristocrat head of state and a democratic head of government sharing power in the nation.
During this period Nexarnism would morph into a faith much more recognizable to today, with traditions such as the Voxovere and Xestemen taking root in this time. The Rexical Sectezer of Nexarnam, the preeminent church of Nexarnism, would involve itself into politics much like the present day. Nexarnist theology and philosophy would begin to shape itself, with people such as Ferluxus Xanape and Erleyl Pasex contributing to the theology of the Ignesian religion.
Technologies like the rail would significantly support the expanding empire.
Eurrenean contact with Ignesia
The first contact with Eurrenean and Ignesian peoples was in 913 BE, when a Zheynesian fleet would set down in Reyler and interact with the Ignesian populace, bringing goods and technology never before seen in the west. Soon after this, multiple expeditions by both privateers and the Ignesian military would also establish connection with the Zheynes, and eventually with the other Seleser nations.
Since then, Ignesia and Zheynes became staunch allies since the Prexese pact made in 1182, the longest lasting alliance in history, and the only alliance pre-Denelssene to last until the present-day. The alliance has changed and impacted both nations in many ways; Ignesian places founded in the era, such as Dracenseve and Xheven were named with Zheynesian loan words; Zheynes was the first nation outside of Ignesia that utilized gunpowder; and Ignesia was the first nation to create the modern compass, heavily inspired from the Zheynesians, which invented its predecessor, the vegur. The Zheynes are also one of the allies that helped Ignesia during the later stages of the Vecepere, and was the only nation to aid Ignesia during the Western Incursions. Even, intermarriage between the Ignesian and Zheynesian people would be common, and would result in the Ailexen people.
Through this trade the first firearms, the first air balloons, the first camouflage, and many other inventions would enter beyond Zheynes into the entire world. The Zheynesians would also use industrialization and mass production to become one of the first nations to have overseas colonies.
End of the Vecepere and the Discovery of Ignesia
The conquest of the city of Druvuxe and the signing of the Treaty of Rox Vilne in Deseveos 21, 1362 marked the dissolution and integration of the now 750-year old Vetrelser Empire into Ignesia, and marked the end of the Vecepere and the reunification of Vimicia under the Ignesian state. The latter half of the 14th century marked the event of the Uvylkhena Purges, when tens of millions of Nexarvishten Ignesians were forced to convert or be executed. The death toll of this event is estimated to be around 24,000,000-35,000,000, the largest death toll not related to disease or warfare.
Despite the gruesome measures of religious centralization, Ignesia would enter a prosperous period similar to Uvyldina's era; arts, literature, and culture would enter the Maxiten era, where a departure from classic ideals and philosophies and the exploration of ideas that branched out from Nexarnist status quo would occur. Books such as the Hegnexen Rox would become a staple of Ignesian society of the day. This period would also lead to the first signs of industrialization with the advent of early forms of electricity and steam motors. Maritime trade between Ignesia's cities as well as Eurrene became widespread.
In Ceveos 3, 1529, A group of 13 men, which included the Niesker man Denelssene would venture ashore to Ignesia, and arrive in Dracenseve, after Zheynesian merchants spread the word of a prosperous nation to the east of Avanere. On the return to Avanere, Denelssene would seek services from the Hysanter, Dezerian, and Naralian governments to fund another endeavor. Only Hysante and Naralia would accept the offer, and by 1535 over 100,000 Naralians, Dezerians, and Hysanteans would live in Ignesia, and many approaches by Avanere states would push the relations between Ignesia and the Avanere kingdoms to hostility.
The Western Incursions
A coalition of states, citing Vestekhrine Aluxro III's proclaimation of 1572, would war against Ignesia in a series of conflicts dubbed the Western Incursions in Ignesia, and also called the Great Vimician War in Avanere and many other places. These wars were intended for religious purposes but mostly for concession of what was viewed as prime, rich lands by the Avanere. From the 1572 Literae patenter until the Treaty of Barul in 1701, Ignesia was in direct conflict with many Avanere nations for more than a century.
The First Western Incursion, lasting from 1573 until 1599, was one of the more successful attempts of Avanere colonization, with the brief Ignesian withdrawal of Dracenseve. The Second and Third Incursions would prove to be decisive victories for Ignesia, even seizing Keser in the 1637 Treaty of Belev. The Fourth Incursion would prove to become one of the longest and deadliest wars in human history, lasting from 1646 until 1701 and costing around 35,000,000 lives; a death count only rivaled by the World War.
The Treaty of Barul in 1701 would see a restoration of the status quo 150 years prior, the indefinite withdrawal of the Avanere kingdoms and empires from Vimician lands, and other conditions. It was seen as the end of the Western Incursions, and led to a period of coexistence that would lead to the largest exchanges of ideas and people in human history.
Post-Incursion Ignesia prior to the World War
After the Incursions, Ignesia would begin a period of cooperation with Avanere major powers, and would exchange people and ideas in a phenomenon that is known as the Avanere-Vimicia exchange, where Ignesian and Vimician arts, ideals, peoples, and religions would spread to both continents. In Ignesia, this period's effects are still widely felt today, as Khrusene is the largest non-Nexarnean religion in Ignesia, with over 110 million practicing the faith.
Ignesia was also a main contributor in the Valeonean War and the Krallic Wars, fighting alongside its ally Zheynes during the infamous Battle of Cingue.
World War and the Postwar
After the end of the war, Ignesia would seize the former Naralian colonies of Meknen and Oguvene after Varta's condemnation of Naralian occupation by the Western powers.
Trissala Revolutions
Post-Trissala and Ignesia under Empaxerosfina
The Trissala wave of revolutions heavily devastated Avanere, and led to yet another mass immigration of peoples from Naralia, Ferren, Hysante, Ovessia, and many other nations to Ignesia, and the nation would experience large population and economic growth during the time. The "Second Great Western Wave", coined by Ignesian newsletter writer Islexer Perescene, would bring many intellectuals to Ignesia. This would lead to a major increase in the Khrusene population in Ignesia.
The western wave would heavily influence Ignesia's trajectory in the Space Race, as men such as Rechdragan Welter and Jean Fabian Delcran helped in developing Ignesia's space program, with the former becoming the first man on space, and which the latter would land on the veun in 1960, and even land on Oer 7 years later in 1967.
Present day
The world would yet again face a tumultous time period in the 1980s when the Cepnist Lijavan nation fell into civil war, ending its hegemony across continental Avanere and leaving only the F.P.A.S. and Ignesia as sole superpowers, but the Phaternist regimes across Avanere and Eurrene would collapse after Avanere Sil went into disarray, falling into warlordism in 1997.
Geography
As the largest nation in the world with a land size exceeding 123 million square kilometers, Ignesia is home to immense diversity in terms of its geography. Extending from the latitudes (WIP) and (WIP), and the longtitudes (WIP) and (WIP), it is comparable in size to that of the
Ignesia has vast holdings of waters through the lakes and rivers that go through Vimicia, about 168 million km2. The nation exports the most water out of any nation, 68% of freshwater is from the continent. These waters led to a very agriculturally rich society able to sustain a large population. The rivers of the nation, including the Shapene and the Lunevey, border the most populous cities of the nation. Ignesia also has its share of deserts, most notably the Pelekh desert.

Demographics
According to the Ignesian national census of 2022, approximately 3,548,179,449 live within Ignesia and its dominions, and 3,527,209,935 if excluding the latter, making Ignesia that most populous country in the world, with a population density of 29.4 and 24.6 people per km2 respectively. Around 29.9% of the population is aged 14 and younger, 14.4% of the population is aged 15-24, 42.8% of the population is aged 25-59, and the remaining 12.9% are 60 and older. The mean age of Ignesia is at 20.2 years of age, and the top three most populous subdivisions in Ignesia are Nermesten at 838 billion, Kvalnestos at 771 billion, and Prexese at 676 billion as of the 2022 mainland Ignesian census.
The fertility rate of Ignesia stands at around 3.7 births per woman, and the sustained baby boom can be attributed back to the 1960s with Empaxerosfina's policies. The male-to-female ratio in the population around 973 women to 1000 men, 65% of the population is married, 12% are widowed, 8% are divorced, and 15% have never married. Although the vast majority of the population is Ignesian, there is still sizable minorities of other ethnicities, which include the Hysanter (34.2% of the immigrant population), Ferrenese (30.6% of the immigrant population), Kanager (17% of the immigrant population). The Ailexen are not included in the immigrant population, and they constitute 4.2%, or around 150 million people.
Immigration
234,980,115 immigrant and Ignesia-born immigrant children live in Ignesia and its dominions, the largest population of immigrants in a nation. Despite this, they only constitute 6.6% of the Ignesian population. 7.1% of the immigrant population are unauthorized, numbering to around 16,683,588, but the proportion is possibly due to the relaxed Ignesian immigration laws that do not have many restrictions for citizenship.
Ignesia has been regarded as a haven for immigration throughout history, serving as a destination for persecuted religious and ethnic minorities during the Incursions and afterwards, due to the tolerant Nexarnist authority, and for refugees from war or persecution during the World War and the Postwar. Ignesia's attitude quickly changed during the Postwar, as the right-wing leaning administrations, most notably Vimicikhinax and Xernos Tilepe's, frequently passed strict naturalization processes since the Nete Hezaverel (Naturalization Act).
Language
The predominant official language for Ignesia is Santer, a constructed language created to substitute for other Santeric languages and for standardization in language for the Avosepen Santerecé Nacër in 1944, which was pushed for mostly by the Ignesian government. Today, over 120 different nations partake in the usage of Santer as an official national language, and on average around one-third of a member-state's population is 'fluent and proficient in Santer's written and spoken forms', according to the Organization for Phonetic and Linguistic Arts.
The majority national language of Ignesia is Ignesian, de-facto a Santeric language due to its similarities to Proto-Hysantic. Almost 85% of the population speak the tongue as either a first or second language. Dialects have formed around the Ignesian language, notably the Hercanean, Veseherian, Veltresen-Kvalnas, and other dialects. Almost all government documents in Ignesia are only published in the state language of Santer, and Ignesian, and require third-party translation to other languages. Recently, however, national education standardization has decreased the speakers of various dialects, with some nearing eradication, such as Rekelepé.
Ignesian acts as the eldest branch of the Santeric sphere of languages, and according to a study by the OPLA, is the language that most resembles Proto-Hysantic. The nation participates with the Kommunatevexenetaplé Nacër Lagnuè Santërix (International Community of Santeric-Speaking Nations), the successor to the Avosepen Santerece Nacer, as a full member.
Religion
Historically the birthplace of the Nexarnamisten, Nexarnist, and Nexarvishten faiths, 85% of Ignesia's population, around 3.68 trillion, practice the Nexarnist faith, 88% if the Nexarvishten sect is included, leading to Ignesia having the largest population of a religion in the world. The rise in popularity in the foreign Zhiven and Khrusene faiths is attributed to the massive immigration boom that followed the World War, with the Khrusene population rising from 0.9% to 3.2%. The title of Axemparex is traditionally linked to the title of Ixarene, the head of the Ignesian faith, with all former holders of the Axemparex title also holding the title of Ixarene.
Around 185 million people (4.3%) practice no religion, 138 million (3.2%) practice Khrusene, 100 million (2.3%) practice the Nexarvishten faith, 26 million (0.66%) practice the Zhiven faith, 17 million (0.4%) practice Cirduism, 12 million (0.3%) practice other religions, and another 137 million (3.2%) did not state their religion.
Health
The nation of Ignesia is historically known for its advanced healthcare, with deadly epidemics such as the Jersen flu in the 1650s which, despite killing around 25 to 40 million Avanere in the span of a decade, killed only an estimated 3 million in Ignesia. Ignesian healthcare declined in the 1800s and early 1900s, however, and the government, despite putting forward the modernization of the sector on many occassions, has been criticized over the years for not expanding the healthcare system enough in reaction to the increasing population.
Life expectancy for men is 82.3 years, and 87.8 years for women, with an average of 85.7 for both sexes. Infant mortality rates in Ignesia is average in the world, with 12.82 per 1000 live births. Ignesia's fertility rate stands at 3.7 children born/per woman, which is above the replacement rate of 2.1.
The nation is known for its universal healthcare, where health services can be accessed without incurring financial hardship. The obesity rate is low; around 2% of the population can be classified as obese, with the average Ignesian BMI around 27.7. In mental health, Ignesia is frequently featured in the International Happiness Index by the AON as one of the happiest nations, ranking in the top 20 in 8 out of the 12 years between 2010 and 2022.
Education
All public education barring the university level is operated and organized by the Ignesian Commission of Education. In the nation, formal education starts at around 4 to 5 years of age. Primary grade school takes around 5 years, and lower and higher secondary school take around 5 years respectively aswell. Tertiary school is organized in the provincial level.
The educational institutions provided are mixed between the public commission and the private institutions. The curriculum is provided by the Ignesian Comission of Education. Ignesia is known for containing the world's renowned universities and centers of learning, in which education is mostly free, and living expenses paid by both the government and public or private institution. All public schooling, from kindergarten to university, is paid through this system, and so Ignesia has the capability to be classified as a country with free education.
Ignesia is ranked 1st in the ranking of education by the AON, with 65% of residents having acquired a academic degree (most from university & college), the closest to which being New Ferren with 51%. Ignesia also provides adult education, known to be mostly specializing in immigrant integration. The education of Ignesia is also known for their polylingual proficiency, as according to a study from the New Ferren Education Association, over 37% of all Ignesians that participated in their country's schooling system are atleast bilingual.

Government
The Ignesian government is a semi-constitutional monarchy, with power shared between the bicameral parliament, the Ignestex, and the hereditary monarch, which currently is Axemparex Lexoskhena.
The legislative body of state is headed by the Axempavoceror, with a 5 year term limit, and is comprised of the Ignestas and the Ignerelas. The Ignerelas acts as the lower house of the legislative branch, and 400 seats are occupied by representatives from the subdivisions of Ignesia, which cast their vote based on a referendum from the population of the subdivision, following more of a direct democracy structure. The Ignestas acts as the upper house of the branch, and has a more traditional system of voting. 250 seats are elected through proportional representation, and have no limitations for voting, unlike the Ignerelas.
The monarch has wide-ranging executive authority and control over the actions of the Ignestex, but in the modern day does not usually wield this authority for domestic policy, atleast not without backlash, which is delegated to the Ignestex. He or she also appoints, with approval of the Ignestex, the ministries, the main executive branch, which include the governors, who regulate and enforce law and policy in their respective states.
The Axemparex originally was percieved as a theocratic head of state, and the head of Nexarnism, the state religion of Ignesia. This has been the case until the democratization efforts as part of the Proletariat Revolution, which shifted bureaucratic power solidly to the Ignestex. The shifting worldwide religious landscape, the Second Great Western Wave bringing many different religions to the spotlight in Ignesia, and other factors prompted Empaxerosfina to scale back the religious duties of the Axemparex in the late 1960s. There was a slight restoration in the religious position of the monarch during Vimicikhenarex.
The judicial branch, the Axemperoshex is the highest court in the Ignesian judiciary and is tasked with overseeing the many lower Ignesian courts and interpret law and enforce it if necessary. The 25 judges are voted on by the people and are confirmed by the Axempavoceror and the Ignestex. Their tenure is limited by a term limit of 10 years, although they may be renewed another term for an unlimited amount of times based on public vote.
Subdivisions
The idea of a devolved Ignesia is actually very recent; the Proletariat Revolution would bring upon the nation one of the first proposals for a semi-autonomous state in Veltrensen, which was occupied by the Veltreser Empire about 450 years prior. The decentralization of the state would be put forward alongside the installment of what is today the Ignestex, the country's current parliament, in three divisions; Veser Igneza (present-day Vrezar Igneza, Prexese, Xernesia), Nermepe (present-day Nermesten and Kvalnestos), and Veltrensen. The formation of the six administrative subdivisions would only occur during the era of the Trissala Revolutions.
Although these Ignesian states seem to be completely identical to a sovereign nation in everything but foreign policy, Ignesia still retains 'the right to maintain absolute authority and dismiss, acclimatize, and act upon the order of the state of the nation as it sees fit by the premier governmental agency'. The Ignestex, the Axemperoshex, and the Axemparex all have final say on all policy and decisions, but it is only sometimes exercised.

Foreign relations
Military
Although the Axemparex is legally the commander-in-chief of the Ignesian military, most duties are usually delegated to the Axempavoceror and is deemed as ceremonial. Ignesia's military is considered one of, if not the largest and most technologically advanced in the world, with 102.3 million personnel serving under the Ignesian Epaxtuler's 4 branches, the Ignesian Isehtuler (Ground Force), the Ignesian Cavatuler (Naval and Marine Force), the Ignesian Xefastuler (Air Force), and the recently established Ignesian Ivaceneatuler (Space Force). The military employs a conscription system where adults aged 16-25 are forced to serve atleast one and a half years in service.
Credited as the creator of the first nuclear warhead, Ignesia holds the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, with 857,236 out of 937,418 warheads deployed (ready to be launched), 950 thousand more than all nations with nuclear capabilities in the world. Included in this warhead arsenal is the Verusteace model deuterium ICBM, capable of exploding with the force of 7,600 megatons of TNT. Ignesia also owns the largest fleet of ballistic missile submarines, and is one of seven nations that have strategic bombing capabilities. Ignesia spends around 4.66 trillion nix for their military, the largest in the world, which amounts to around 70% of global military spending.
Ignesia is the only nation that employs aircraft carriers, and also employs many technologies in the military. The Kylrepe missile is one of the most exported anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) in the world. The Ignesian military also use the Neverepe missile defense system, employed in most cities, which are used for intercepting ballistic missiles and the like.
Violations of sovereignty
Economy
The Ignesian gross domestic product (GDP), ranked first in the world nominally and in PPP (purchasing power parity), amounts to 102 trillion in both market exchange rate and purchasing power parity, with the nation's economy contributing 73% percent to the world GDP total. It also has the largest labour force in the world, with 2.6 billion people, whilst also being ranked 23th in nations with the lowest unemployment rates in the world, according to Market Forum. The Ignesian nix is the largest and prevalent reserve currency, above the Ferrenese trene, with many nations using the nix as their de facto currency. Most millionares, billionares, and the largest companies in the world reside or operate in Ignesia, and the nation contains the only trillionare in the world as of Vituen 2023.
Ignesia is the largest exporter in the world, whilst being the 27th largest importer. It also has one of the lowest debt-to-GDP ratios in the world, with 23%. Many of the world's financial capitals are located in Ignesia, with Ilvane, regarded as the premier financial center of the world, Vrezar Vimicia, and Uvlynus being the most notable, with the Ilvanean stock market being the world's largest stock exchange in terms of both market capitalization and trade volume. Ignesia's economy is also boosted by its enormous amount of natural resources, with an abundance of oil, natural gas, coal, and minerals. The nation is also one of the largest producers of agricultural goods and commodities, and is the largest manufacturing nation in the world, despite the post-industrial nature of the economy.
Ignesian citizens have the highest household median income in the world, and enjoy very high standards of competitiveness, and one of the top ten lowest poverty rate in the world. Ignesia also is classified as a 'tax haven' nation, possibly because of its adoption of land value tax as the primary source of taxation, and contain the largest number of billionares and millionares per capita. The nation is the only state to employ universal basic income as of 2022, and has an almost nonexistent real estate market, even in the major cities, due to legislation. 50.5% of the world wealth lies within Ignesia, the largest percentage in the world.
Science and technology
Historical contributions
Ignesia's scholars, polymaths, and other intellectuals were one of the first peoples to venture and interact with Avanere right after Denelssene's discovery. Ixine Prevexepe was the first ever Ignesian brought to Avanere as part of Denelssene's entourage, and prominent physicist and engineer Jave Vylnevanape as well as astronomer Primossene (birth name Primana Seravanyl), considered the most influential astrologist of the modern era, were part of the first wave of Ignesian's who interacted with the peoples of Avanere.
Before this, the people of Vimicia and later Ignesia was considered to have advanced in writing and technology much faster than the Avanere, as the first ever rendition of an abjad/alphabet was found dating back to 3300 BE, in the Ivasevelerece, and gunpowder weapons were even used in Vimicius' times, 2100 years ago. Papermaking and printing techniques were also found during that era, with the first iteration of a device intended to be a printing press dating back to 151 BE in Prexese.
Many important people who have contributed to fields of technology and science include Ylvan Crexen (creator of the telephone), Trussard Treyranex (regarded as the "father of electricity"), Priylex Venevil (inventor of the phototaker and the recorder), and Rascana Velexeter (creator of the first locomotive vehicle, and a pioneer of freight).
Modernity
2.6% of Ignesia's GDP is used on research and development, totaling up to 2.4 trillion Ignesian nix, significantly higher than its closest comparison, New Ferren, with 986 billion in Ignesian nix. The nation and its people have been a pioneering force for technology and science even until the 21st century, and more scientific papers are published in Ignesia by Ignesians than all other nations combined excluding New Ferren and Sevasne. The nation is considered to have the most advanced military technology compared to its peers, with the Kylrepe ATGMs and the Uvylxam-5 fighter jet class.
Ignesia's space program is considered a pioneering force in the aerospace front. The Uvyldinaperolevr (Uvyldina Station) is the largest modular space station in orbit, and is made and operated by Ignesia. The first successful missions to land on the lune (1976) and Junese (1992) were organized by the Vyrehece Ignezalevna (Ignesian Space Division), and the nation organizes the International Mission Defense System. The community of general science is well-renowned in their discoveries, with the Theory of Science Aspect published by Leveza Magnacarox in 1983 considered the preeminent base of information in the science community.
Culture
The culture of the people of Ignesia is heavily linked to the connection between religion and state, and most traditions in Ignesian society draw their roots to the early Nexarnist period. Due to this, many historical values are different from its counterparts in the Western World, such as the equality of gender, the meritocratic nature of the state, and the view of property as a necessity in Ignesia. Ignesia is very homogenous in both culture and religion, with 96.5% of the population identifying as Ignesian and 85.9% identifying as a Nexarnist.
Ignesian culture would spread vastly since the discovery of the continent by Denelssene, only rivaled by the rise of Ferrenese culture in the 18th to the 20th centuries, and some call Ignesia a "cultural superpower". The architecture of Ignesia is very distinct compared to the West. Even before the Revolutionary's War, Ignesia was considered a very progressive society, despite the nature of the semi-constitutional monarchy, but after the war would establish major protections to the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the like, regarded as the strongest in the world, and is high in the rankings of civil rights and liberty in the world.
Ignesia is also renowned for their art, literature, and philosophy, with minds such as Lorio des Vastaraya, Islexer Shaxepe, Durvel Xansharaterece, and Wilieam Uzba. Ignesia's great monuments are also honored and are built regularly, and famously are known to depict former Ignesian monarchs. Ignesians have a strong sense of patriotism, and venerate the military and its veterans and patrons.
Literature
Rivaled only by the Zheynesians, Ignesia is famous for their literature and heavy focus on philosophy and nonfiction. But before the modern era, the nation's writers and playwrights were especially renowned for their works, which included people like Durvel Xansharaterece, regarded as one of the greatest playwrights of all time only beside Vevnev Trenarsky. Especially after the Vecepere, Ignesian fictional works became the face of Ignesia's literature, including Hegnexen Rox (The Firebird) by Jorvax Trestemaxer, Exnavastar by Magen Paxarede, Ilvekeren Caxne Rox (The City of Ilvekeren) by Ivilen Carnacen, and many other works.
Ignesian literature shaped to become its current form when the 1793 book titled "Rox Igneza Lecatarelempaxi", or The Great Ignesian Collapse was made by Vernepe Shaner. Its emphasis of both the problems in Ignesia's society and the problems of the daily Ignesian life sparked the Ignesian Philosophical Age in the 19th century, when philosophy and realism would become Ignesia's mainstream; Tanaxendu birthed the ideology of "Phaternism", which are the state beliefs of many nations today. Primi Elenepexar wrote on externalistic theory and "Priminism", Karape Naxeruner wrote on collectivist theory, and many others expanded on philosophy on many levels.
Ignesian realist literature would also be developed during and after the Revolutionary's War, but plays and written works from the pre-"Great Ignesian Collapse" period were revisited and would also become forefront and would be rewritten and remixed by many writers and playwrights, from Fenece to Luvanaxe Ylandar.
Architecture
The architectural style of pre-modern Ignesia is reminiscent of Vernero architecture, with the latter's preference of metals as building material persevering even to today's Ignesia. Due to this, Ignesian architecture, especially senctiers, obtain their signature golden lining and marble frames, as shown in the Ixarene Sectezer, Exaxernose Rox, and the Iupolex of Vimicius, along with many other examples.
Ignesia is well known for their veneration of past monarchs of the nation through the creation of statues in memoriam of these people. Over 138 statues memorializing former Ignesian monarchs are recognized by the Ignesian government as "sites of heritage and pride". The sculpture of Vimicius is valuated at around 24.1 billion.
Architecture from eras of First Ignesia and the Vecepere remain surprisingly intact, with examples such as the inner city of Ylverneler, which was back in antiquity the de-facto capital of late First Ignesia, remaining mostly unchanged over its 3000-year history. The Great Road of Vimicius, even after 2000 years, still serves hundreds of millions of people every year participating in Voxovere.

Sports
Alongside Ferren, Ignesia is considered one of the two ISC-recognized "birthplaces of sport", with association football, volleyball, ifern, box fighting, and many other sports claimed to have originated from the nation. Even in Ignevan times sport was central to the Ignesian culture, with predecessors of ifern and volleyball written down in many scripts unearthed during the 1993 Rox Havanace archeological discovery.
By most metrics, association football is the most popular sport in Ignesia. 682 million Ignesian citizens living in the nation watched the 2021 Trevex Itevaigneza in full, according to statistics provided by visionIGN. Ignesian national football teams have won more than half of all ISC Nations' Cups since 2020. Unlike the rest of the world, Ignesia's provinces participate in international sporting events, and have their own divisions and league systems ever since the Revolutionary's War, although there are some sports that have exceptions. Some Ignesian association football leagues, like the Exaylvensen, are watched by 1.5 billion globally Regarded as other notable team sports include basketball, ferrenball, baseball, and gredenball, which also have their own seperate league systems and national teams participating in international occassions.
The most popular individual sports include motorsport and skateboarding. Ignesia is considered a pioneer in auto racing, with leagues such as ASI, YSV, HESI, and Ralle Igneza becoming one of the preeminent racing divisions for their category after their inceptions. Around 44% of the rail network (2.1 million km) consist of high speed rail (HSR), also making it the largest high-speed rail network in the world in extension. An average of 477 krh (296 mph) during the usage of major high-speed rail networks also rank it as the fastest in the world. The railway industry sustained massive growth during the 1980s, after the Vetroyskas scandal of 1974 which damaged the market for automobiles, with the Ignesian population leaning more into public transit ever since, with 7.67 billion passenger trips served by the Ignesian rail network.
