The political party was established on March 26th, 1894 to act as a compromise between the Peace and Justice Party and factions of the National Unity party. Shortly after it's founding, it participated in the [[1894 Beatavician General Election|1894 election]] but had only won 15 seats in the House of Representatives, with the majority of them being previously held by the Peace and Justice Party.
