The new Federation of Arlyon's head of state was initially known as the Chief of the Revolutionary Government but in 1941 was renamed to its current title, the President of the Federal Council. | ||

This is a list of the heads of state of Arlyon, from the unification into the Kingdom of Arlyon in 1053 to the present day.
From 1053 to 1802 the head of state was the monarch. Arlyon was governed by male Kings until the abolition of Salic Law in 1477 which saw the first female head of state Queen Isabella. In 1802 the absolute monarchy was overthrown and replaced with the Council of Republican Virtue - however whilst this served as the de jure head of state under the First Arlyonish Republic it was a mostly inactive body with the National Assembly (the legislature) and National Convention (the executive) holding more de facto power. The restoration of the monarchy in 1814 saw it take on a more constitutional albeit it still possessed many absolutist features. The declaration of the second republic in 1877 saw the position of president created, which served as the head of state. After the Continental War the monarchy was restored but was deposed again during the Arlyish Revolutionary War (1923-5). The new Federation of Arlyon's head of state was initially known as the Chief of the Revolutionary Government but in 1941 was renamed to its current title, the President of the Federal Council.
