Illustration of Temai from the Late Medieval Chronicle of Sanstrang of Theodora

Temai was a republican city-state in eastern Telseris. Positioned on the lower Alpa, Temai was an important crossing point for overland traffic on the north bank of the Langewasar. Its attempts to control traffic on Telseris' chief river netted Temai substantial wealth, which allowed its rulers to fortify the town and raise armies against neighbours such as Calis and Hanneberg, but also brought it into regular conflict with Laodicea and Letara.
