Vehicle registration plates of Nikolia

Vehicle registration plates (Serbian: Registarske oznake vozila; Mazurian: Tablice rejestracyjne pojazdów) in Nikolia are issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Directorate of Traffic. They are bond to a single vehicle and have information about Voivodeship, Prefecture and Municipality or a City where the vehicle has been registered in. There are several categories of registration plates in Nikolia, varying by the type of the vehicle carrying them.

Format

Standard registration plates have format XXX (Coat of Arms of the municipality/city) NNNN. In this case, XXX is a set of random letters of the English alphabet, whereas NNNN is a set of random numbers from 0 to 9. To the both left and right end of the plate, there is blue ribbon with national and location information. Blue ribbon to the left has national symbols, those being Shield of Nikolia, and Nikolian traffic code per ROS (NIK). Blue ribbon to the right, however has a 2-digit code for prefecture in a yellow circle, while below it is a traffic code of a Voivodeship, in following examples, registration plates are registered in the City of Carigrad, Carigrad Prefecture (24), Moravia (MRV). The resgistration plates also have so-called "Emission Class Sticker" that is located underneath the coat of arms in the middle of the plate. There are 6 classes, and they vary by emission of gases vehicle is producing.
