The Aleitians were an ancient tribe that inhabited much of central and northern Syara during the Syaran Archaic Age.
The Aleitians were descended from the Khotoi who had arrived in Syara between the 3rd and 2nd millenia BCE. Over time the Aleistians settled in and around the northern highlands of Syara, forming city-states and a distinct Hellenic culture. Along with the Gaetlii and the Dovossians, the Aleitians were the only major tribe to survive Syara's Bronze Age Collapse. In the centuries afterward the Aleitians expanded their influence and rose to dominate much of northern Syara. The Aleitians led the Syaran tribes in many fields, including architecture, war, urban planning, and mining. Owning lands rich with iron, the Aleitians spearheaded the Syaran Iron Age and Aleitian armies marched across much of modern Syara and Ruvelka.
During the Between the 10th and 7th Centuries BCE the Aleitians gradually dispersed and began forming their own distinct political entities. These would eventually include the Kydonian League and the Makedonian Empire.
