Dovossians

The Dovossians were an ancient tribe that inhabited western Syara during the Syaran Archaic Age.

Descended from the Khotoi, the Dovossians had settled along the coast of western Syara in present day Scitaria as one of the three tribes that survived Syara's Bronze Age Collapse. With fewer natural resources to sustain themselves, the Dovossians did not unify into distict political entities like the Aleitians and the Gaetlii, but nevertheless formed their own culture and customs. Lacking a centralized political body or leadership, the Dovossians dispersed into a multitude of competing tribes and clans between 1,000 - 250 BCE, with many tribes becoming maruaders and pirates, some of which sailed as far south as present day Mansuriyyah. The Dovossians remained disunified until they were conquered by the Makedonian Empire, after which the various tribes gradually molded into the anscestors of modern Scitarians.
