Kittalor is the capital city of Kiyortza, and is a part of the Kittalor-Kitaki metro area. The city is located to the northwest of Lake Kita'i on the Kitak River, a few kilometers east of the Sivordjik Gulf; despite its apparent proximity to the ocean, Kittalor by itself is not considered a coastal city, and does not host a large port of its own. It is mostly urban, with a few historical site scattered throughout the highly modernized city.
Kittalor pre-dates the city-state period in the Kittauhri Peninsula, and is named after the mountain lynxes that often visited the area prior to mass human settlement, hence Kit-Talor, or "Lynx-City". Later on, it became the capital of the Kittauh, a regional power, and became a major regional city under the Kittauh-Kanistri, before finally becoming the national capital of the United States of Kiyortza thirteen years after the formation of the nation, before which Fukivapi was the capital.
