The Bureau of Military Information is a branch of the Confederate Brytisc Fleet responsible for the publicity of the Fleet and, in wartime, for producing motivational and informational materials. Created during the First Great War, the Bureau was credited with boosting recruitment rates and improving morale throughout the country. Following the war its budget was cut, but it was brought back into prominence during the Second Great War.

Today it primarily produces recruitment and advertising materials for the Fleet, although it also occasionally produces topical morale-boosting and informational print and televised content. The Bureau is not responsible for material designed for consumption outside of the Confederacy. This material is typically handled by either R-DARK or the Foreign Service, depending on the situation, although the Bureau may be consulted.

Duties

The Bureau's charter lists the authority of the Bureau:

  • To provide recruitment material for the Fleet
  • To provide informative material for the civilian population
  • To provide morale-boosting material during wartime
  • To provide public safety information during wartime
  • To provide only truthful and accurate information

Governance

The Bureau is a military branch and is led by Commissar Alan Garner, who reports directly to the Witenagmot.
