Saint Fiacre's County is an Imaguan county situated in the eastern part of the island of Imagua. It is bordered to the south by Saint Hubert's County, to the southwest by Saint Ellen's County, and to the west by Saint Isidore's County.
Etymology
The county was named after Saint Fiacre, who is the patron saint of gardeners, as this region was meant to be the main supplier of fruits and vegetables to the rest of the Colony of Imagua.
Government
Saint Fiacre's, like any other county (except for the city of Cuanstad, and the Assimas County) is run by the county council (Vespasian: consiglio di contea), comprising of eleven seats. The county council is led by a Sheriff (Sceriffo or Sceriffa), currently Wilfred Winblad of the Sotirian Labour Party, who have seven seats. The other parties represented on the county council are the Movement for a New Imagua, with two seats, followed by the Farmer's Party, with another one seats, with an independent having the remaining seat. The county government is based in Saint Fiacre's Town.
Like all other counties except Cuanstad and the Assimas Islands, Saint Florian's has very little authority, which has led to very low participation in county elections and government, with the average turnout for county elections only being around 10%.
Economy
Due to its isolation from Cuanstad and Nua Taois, the economy of Saint Fiacre's County is not as greatly influenced by the city. Thus, the area is very agricultural, with the only major employers being agricultural firms, government (both national, county, and local), Thorebourne Naval Base, as well as some service industries reliant on Thorebourne.
