Its district seat is Mohubedu, a port city on the Rwizikuru River. It is bordered to the southwest by Gutaguru, to the west by Tsungirirai, to the northwest by the Northern Territory, to the north by the country of Yemet, to the east by the country of Garambura, and to the south by the district of South Balisaland.
