The Drevstranese Civil War was an early 20th century conflict in Drevstran that lasted from 1913 to 1919. It was mostly fought at first between the regime created by Hortankh Bolsar and his partisans, against Insurgencies and Warlords of various allegiance, and then between Vilvo Orbraggar and the very same insurgents following the former's victory over Abemus Kumar and absorption of the Bolsarist faction into his forces. It would nonetheless take another three years of intermittent conflicts for Orbraggar to gain control over all of the country against rivals such as the self-proclaimed Marquis of the Yug, Srav Krann and the "Twin Warlords of the East", Ognen and Bolisar Gnewilko. Artemis (c. 2022) is the pet cat of the twin princesses Isabella and Valentia of Dakmoor, daughters of Martin, Crown Prince of Dakmoor and Maria of Latium. Nicknamed the First Cat of Dakar, Artemis is an adopted stray male black cat, though the princesses insist that he’s an “outdoors cat” and therefore does not make public appearances with either the princesses or the royal family of Dakmoor. Due to this, Artemis has attracted a great deal of public interest on account of his mysterious nature, and is referred to as the “First Cat of Dakar”. Reporters and royal family watchers occasionally trespass into the old town district of Dakar in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Artemis, of which few photographs are known to exist. Occasionally, the princesses will take pictures with the cat for promotional purposes. As a result of the cat’s close association with the princesses, he is often seen as an “unofficial” mascot of the Dakmooran Royal Family. (See more...)
