Background
In November 2022, a civil war broke out across Mazerus, and by January 2023, the Liberation Militia (LM) had won the war. De-facto leader of the LM, Yuan Shekay, shortly after became Prime Minister of Mazerus and called a general election on the 18th.
Date of the election
The deadline for candidate nominations was 25th January 2023, with political campaigning for 10 days until polling day on 28 January. On the day of the election, polling stations across the country were open from 7 am, and closed at 10 pm.
