Club Founding
SK Torunzidis was founded as an amateur olympic sporting club in 1937 specializing in sports like tennis, track and field athletics, and winter sports like skiing and ice hockey as well as football. The club was created as alternative to the already established Olimpiada Torunzidis in the capital city. SK Torunzidis was seen as the working man's club to the more affluent base of Olimpiada Torunzidis.
Success of the 1960s
