Torunzidis is the capital and largest city of the Allied States of Eserrei. It is located in the north central portion of the country in the Kalo province lying along the southeastern bank of the Fortis River approximately half way between the Casarta Sea and the Kyddis mountain range. The population of the city is 1,239,000 and is the only city in Eserrei with over 1 million inhabitants in the urban center. The city experiences an oceanic climate with warm but not hot summers and cool to cold wet winters. Snow is common during the winter but not abundantly so.
History
The city of Torunzidis was founded in the upper Fortis River valley as it was a logical crossing point among the Eser peoples of the region. The western Eser people of Hyast and Erzytydys would often conduct trade with the people of southern and eastern Eser of Skille and Aptolis using Torunzidis as a common trading point. This led to the growth of Torunzidis and its importance of balancing the power among the Eser tribal regions.
