Princess Amélie of Autelia, Duchess of Pavia (Amélie Delphine Hélène Katharina; born 1 March 2000) is an Autelian princess.

Princess Amélie is the youngest daughter of King Alexander IV of Autelia and Queen Marina. Her eldest sister is Queen Marie-Agathe of Autelia. In 2021, she married British aristocrat Alexander Strickland, Viscount Strickland.

Early life and education

Princess Amélie Delphine Hélène Katharina of Autelia was born on March 1, 2000, the youngest daughter of Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Marina of Autelia.

Amélie was taught by tutors until the age of 12, when she enrolled in the Favreau Academy for Girls. She then went on to study International Relations with Spanish at the King Alexander II University in Santerre.

Marriage and children

It was whilst at university that she met Alexander Strickland, Viscount Strickland, who was also studying in Glasgow, where the Princess was as part of a foreign exchange. The couple confirmed they were dating in a statement issued on October 15, 2019.

Following two years of dating, the engagement of Lord Strickland and Princess Amélie was announced on September 13, 2021. They were married in a ceremony in the National Cathedral, Santerre, on December 26, 2021.

Following their wedding, Alexander and Amélie embarked on a honeymoon tour of Scotland and Scandinavia, spending time in several cities.

On July 13, 2022, the Palace announced that Lord Strickland and Princess Amélie were expecting a child, due to be born in Winter 2022. In anticipation of the birth, Queen Marie-Agathe granted Alexander with new titles, in order that any future children of hers and Alexander's would be born with Autelian royal titles as well as their father's Scottish titles. From December 1, 2022, Amélie has held the title of Duchess of Pavia.

On December 14, 2022, Princess Amélie gave birth to twins at Enver Maternity and Children's Hospital in Lafontaine. The children were born at 0610 and 0613 hours respectively, and are a girl and a boy. In a Palace statement, it was said that the Princess and her children were doing well, and that the Queen and other members of the Royal Family had been informed.

On December 15, 2022, a statement was released that the children had been named Princess Iona Marie-Claude Marina Christabel and Prince Ivar Duncan Alexander Henry.

Public life

As a senior member of the royal family, Amélie undertakes a wide range of duties and engagements. She is the patron of over 50 charities and organisations in Autelia, the foremost being the National Society for Animal Protection and the Royal Autelian Education Trust.

In January 2022, Princess Amélie and her husband Alexander undertook a state visit to Escandria on behalf of Queen Marie-Agathe.
