Henry, Prince Consort of Autelia (Henry Frederick William George; 1 January 1943 - 31 December 2007) was a British-born Autelian prince.

In 1966, he married Marie-Claude of Autelia, and served as her royal consort from 1979 until his death in 2007. Henry and Marie-Claude had three children- Alexander, William, and Arthur.

Early life

Prince Henry Frederick William George of Cambridge was born on New Year's Day 1943 at Kensington Palace in London. His father, Prince Frederick, Duke of Cambridge, was the second son of King William IV of the United Kingdom and Queen Thyra of the United Kingdom. His mother, Lady Lucy Ponsonby, was the daughter of the 4th Duke of Westercastle.

Henry was the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; he had three siblings- Prince George, Princess Alice, and Prince Frederick. Henry's family nickname was "Harry".

In his childhood, he was educated by a series of governesses and tutors, before being sent to Harrow School. He then went on to study law at Christ Church, Oxford, from where he graduated in 1964.

Marriage and children

In early 1965, Prince Henry was introduced by his mother to Crown Princess Marie-Claude of Autelia, the heir of Alexander III of Autelia, at a royal social function. The two got on very well together and after a short period of a few months, their engagement was announced to the public.

Henry and Marie-Claude were married on 10 June 1966 at the Cathédral de Saint-Seigneur in Santerre, Autelia. The wedding was a huge national event in Autelia, and the ceremony was watched worldwide on television.

Following the wedding, Henry was made a Prince of Autelia by his father-in-law, so that any children of Henry and Marie-Claude's would be Princes and Princesses of Autelia, as opposed to Lords and Ladies Cambridge.

Henry and Marie-Claude went on to have three sons:

Prince Consort

When Alexander III died in 1979, Marie-Claude became Queen of Autelia. In the days after her accession, she created for Henry the title "Prince Consort of Autelia".
