The Minority leaders of the Latin Senate are Latin senators and leaders of the their respective senatorial political factions. Minority leaders serve as the chief Senate spokespersons for the political factions. Leaders are nominated from within their senatorial party, and most often the position is held by the leader of the party, unless the leader is not a sitting senator. Duties of minority leaders varies on party affiliation. Minority leaders are often seen as candidates for the Consulship.
Despite their integral role in senatorial politics, senate minority leadership is not an officially recognized office and instead was established in the early 20th century when the Omnes declared Victor Laetorius leader of their minority in the Populares controlled Senate. The role has since been in use, and can be held concurrently by as many individuals as necessary, so long as a party has at least five sitting senators.
There are currently two minority leaders, both serving since 2021: Amantius Martius of the Populares; and Felix Procilius of Aliis.
