The Chief of the Naval Staff (Dutch: Chef Marinestaf ('CMS) is the highest-ranking officer and professional head of the Royal Atmoran Navy and the HM's Naval Forces. The CMS reports directly to the Chief of the Defence Staf, who then reports directly to the Commander-in-Chief of the Atmoran Armed Forces.
The current CMS is Grootadmiraal Laurenz van Gysembergh who succeeded grand admiral Nathanaël de Bonnières in the position in October 2016.
