The Union of Elian Free States (UEFS or U.E.F.S.), commonly known as the Free States or the Empire Coast, is a sovereign state in Elia Borealis, encompassing almost the entirety of its western coast. The Free States border the Medan Ocean to the west, Kahneska to the north, and Eskavia to the east; it also shares a maritime border with the Waldish overseas territory of Coshaqua. It is the largest country in Elia Borealis by both land area and population. The capital is St. Leon (Hyacinthean: Saint-Léon), and the largest city is Fastings (Helmenska: Fästinki, Waldish: Festningsborg). The country has six official languages: Hyacinthean, Helmish, Fallish, Waldish, Noscan and Lavish.
