The 2nd Ostric regional election occurred on 22 July 1990. The Social Democratic Radical Party, led by Remigiùsz Woss, remained in first place, and formed a coalition agreement with the Ostric Liberal Party, with the National Consolidation Party supporting from outside the government. The Ostric People's Party and Ostric Party returned as the main opposition.
Background
Forming the first Ostric regional government in 1986, the SRPO-PMZ coalition led by Woss remained ahead in polls, albeit facing declining popularity after caving to federal pressure to allow fishing trawlers not registered on the island to fish in Ostric waters.
Remigiùsz Woss himself remained popular throughout his first term, forming a reputation as a successful middleman between Ostric issues and the federal government.
Electoral system
The electorate elects all fifteen members of the Dorada using single non-transferable vote in one island-wide multi-member constituency.

After the election, Minister-Chairman Woss stated that he wished to form a "social-liberal" coalition with the Liberal Party, who stated that they would agree to forming a government on election night. The Ostric People's Party small dip in support worried some party members, but Robert Szucher's role as leader was secured with his ability to maintain the party's four seats in the Dorada.
