The Autocratic Stratocracy of Sharkdonia, commonly called Sharkdonia, is an Autocratic Stratocracy ruled by Charles IV Logical with an iron fist. Sharkdonia is a medium-sized nation and is located in the planet of Anteria, on the south-east of the continent of Atracia. Sharkdonia covers over 1 million square kilometers and is estimated to have a population of over 400 million. Sharkdonia is made up of 9 states.
Sharkdonia was first inhabited by an ancient sea-faring warrior race, the Oriens Impetu, who were known for their incredible battle might, but most of the time the nation was divided into multiple states busy fighting each other for power and wealth.
Sharkdonia is a developed nation, with a frighteningly high GDP of 311 trillion Sharkdonian Dollars. The per capita GDP of $187,897 ranks very highly in the world, and the nation also ranks high in income equality, with the richest 10% only earning about 2 times more than the poorest 10%. The majority of the economy is led by the humongous Arms/Defense Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions to it from the General Manufacturing industry, as well as Information Technology industry.
Sharkdonia ranks as one of the largest economies in the world, but only average in civil rights and even lower in political freedoms. Sharkdonia is recognized as an emerging power, and is a member of several international organizations, such as the World Assembly.
Etymology
The origin of the word Sharkdonia comes from the original settlers of the area, the Oriens Impetu, a group of ancient sea-faring warrior tribes, whom named the area after the primary god they worshiped, Sharistris. Sharistris was the god of war, honor, and the sea, and was said to resemble a shark. The word eventually evolved into Sharkdonia.

Government and Politics
The government and governance of Sharkdonia is unique and confusing, based on thousands of years of tradition, culture, and history. The original system was designed in 1200 CE where the Red Empire first came into existence under Julius Builder, and to this day our current government system has retained most of the elements of the original system.
At the bottom, we have the Council of Representatives. The Council of Representatives are made up of representatives from all of the states which are sent according to population. Basically, if one state has a higher population than another state, then that state will have more representatives. Representatives are elected every 3 years, and have no term limit. Currently, there are 202 representatives.
Then, we have the High Council. The High Council is made up of the more senior members of the government, and work with the Supreme Leader very often and offers advice. Councilors are elected every 8 years, and have no term limit. Currently, there are 40 Councilors
After that, we have the Grand Council. The Grand Council is essentially the Supreme Leaders closest advisers and has the most power when the Supreme Leader is indisposed in some way or form. They have the ability to dispose of the current Supreme Leader if he or she is tyrannical and not following the Sharkdonian National Charter, the code of laws that all must follow. The Grand Council is made up of the most highly ranked and respected individuals, such as the Prime Minister, the Grand Marshal, and the Secretary of State.
Finally, we have the Supreme Leader. The Supreme leader can do whatever he or she wants, and can force anything to happen, such as declaring war or making laws. The only real rule to the Supreme Leader is that every decision they make must confine to the Sharkdonia National Charter, a list of rights that every citizen of the nation has. Of course, the Supreme Leader can ignore this charter, but by doing so the current Supreme Leader might be disposed of by the Grand Council, as they are allowed to do that if needed.
Election System
Elections in Sharkdonia are not democratic, as instead most positions are appointed by either the Grand Council of the Supreme Leader. The only house of the government that citizens can influence is the Council of Representatives. Citizens are allowed to run to become a representative, but they must meet 3 requirements. These requirements are:
- Must be a citizen of Sharkdonia for a minimum of 10 years
- Must have served in the Military
- Must be at least 18 years of age
