The National Council refers to the seven-member executive council that presides over the governings of the Crylantian Federation, acting as the head of state and government of the Federation as a whole.

While the entire council are considered equally head of the nation, each member is head of one of the seven Directorates of the Crylantian Government. One member of the council is selected from among the council to be the Chief Director for a year, meaning they serve as a primus inter pares leader of the Council, chairing meetings and representing the organisation. The current Chief Director is Arto Karppinen, who has served since 1 January 2018.

Despite the de jure equal status of the members of the council, making Crylante a directorial republic, some outside observers have made observations that it functions more like a de facto parliamentary republic, often claiming that either the Director for Finance, the Director for Home Affairs or the Director for Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade act as a de facto Prime Minister while the rest of the Cabinet acts like a Cabinet, however many dispute this hypothesis.
