The Commonality Air Force (Syaran: Заедништво воздушни сили) is the Air force of the Syaran Commonality Armed Forces. It is responsible for the air based defense of Syara and her interests, and to conduct air combat operations during times of war. It was established along with the rest of the SCAF in 1988 following the conclusion of the Refusal War. The Executive of Syara is the supreme commander of the CAF, currently held by Anita Beleska. The CAF is composed of nearly 200,000 active duty personnel and fields over 1,500 aircraft.
Having fought in the Imerti Conflict and the Zemplen War, the CAF posesses some of the most significant combat experience in modern aerial warfare. Envisioned primarily as a tactical oriented air force at it's founding, the CAF struggled during the Zemplen War with neighboring Ruvelka and the Ruvelkan Imperial Air Force. The CAF began with war with an abundance of fixed wing gunships but lacking in fighter aircraft, and was forced to spend much of the war working to rectify the issue. In the years since the war the CAF has focused on becoming "top heavy", fielding more fighters and modernized aircraft.
