Camp Aelle is the primary base, depot, and training facility for the Confederate Brytisc Fleet, the armed forces of Brytene. Located in the foothills of Anglaland, it was originally built in 1895 as part of the initiative to improve infantry training and accommodate the rapid innovations in military strategy that heralded the start of the 20th Century. It serves as a training facility and has an official garrison of more than 5,000 personnel, though this fluctuates over the course of training periods. It is also a primary depot and testing centre for the Royal Arsenal.
Facilities
Camp Aelle boasts a range of modern facilities, having been updated constantly throughout the years. It has a range of assault courses, mock urban areas, firing ranges, parade grounds and cordoned countryside to allow a full regime of training drills, and also boasts a HALO simulator, dive tank, olympic stadium field, swimming pool complex, and several other advanced facilities for specialist training.
It has two full runways to facilitate deliveries and paratrooper training, as well as a VTOL/helicopter park. Vehicles of all kind are housed and serviced at the expansive 'shop facilities, and the camp has a complete vehicle training and testing range that can support an entire company of armoured vehicles, allowing drivers and cavalry teams to hone their skills.
It possesses a full medical suite with a permanent staff of two doctors and twenty-eight medics, as well as a variety of pastoral care units. The camp also has plenty of recreational facilities including a 'drive-in' cinema screen, canteens, game rooms and a comprehensive library. The barracks are divided into large complexes which can house several regiments each.
Defenses
As well as a permanent presence of at least one marine regiment and one armoured cavalry battalion, the camp boasts a range of static SAM defenses, a dedicated detection network with a fire and flight control tower, and a permanent company of K9 patrol units with handlers. A helicopter squadron is also typically on-hand, equipped with up to a dozen helicopters at any one time to provide search&rescue and security support.
In practice, the military presence at the base is often greater as units are rotated, placed on leave, or returned for refitting. Recruits in the more advanced stages of their training are expected to participate in providing security for the camp.
Training
Basic Training takes 6 weeks, and every single member of the Brytisc Fleet will undergo Basic at Camp Aelle. This is then followed by a two-week aptitude training programme. Upon completion of aptitude training, personnel may then apply for specific roles, whether they plan to become a naval gunner, a marine officer, or a mechanical engineer.
Commissioned Officers, aviators, naval personnel and a select few specialists are then transferred to other facilities, including the Arkengarth Academy. The majority of enlisted personnel remain at Camp Aelle, however, and complete a 4-month Specialist Training programme which will equip them for the rigours of their chosen role.
Fleet Sniper Academy
The Fleet Sniper Academy (FSA) is open to Fleet personnel and select allies of Brytene. The FSA trains marines for the role of sniper. The eight-week course covers marksmanship, tactics, survival techniques, stalking, intelligence-gathering, equipment maintenance and other related disciplines. Graduates of the FSA are expected to be able to provide accurate long-range fire in difficult conditions, to reach and hit targets despite challenging mission parameters, to accurately and reliably gather intelligence and to move undetected.
They are also expected to be able to hit a human-sized target at up to 1,500m and a moving vehicle hardpoint or weakspot at distances of up to 1,000m with 95% career accuracy. A range of training techniques and exercises are used, and the Academy has a variety of training facilities and locations to allow for stalking, sniping, and spotting exercises, as well as live-firing practice. The FSA makes extensive use of drones, both to track their trainees and as mobile target-carriers.
FSA graduates are trained with a variety of weapons, the primary two being the Kuribayashi Drake and the RAM Mjolnir.
The school is eight weeks long, and upon graduation candidates are officially awarded the rank of Scytere, which is unique as it is the only Brytisc rank to use Old English instead of Standard English. Scytere is an OR-6 rank equivalent to a marine Staff Sergeant. Officers who complete the course are awarded the rank of Hlascytere, which is an OF-2 rank equivalent to a captain of marines, or a naval/flight lieutenant.
Attendance and graduates
Currently, the FSA employs twenty-three tutors and thirty-eight support staff. Graduation rate is approximately 70%, meaning 3 out of every 10 students fail the typical season. Attendance per season is roughly:

Notable graduates include:

- James Salary (Syctere)
