The Maainâslodehkirje (Estmerish: Book of the Windbirds; weranian: Buch der Windvögeln) is the national epic of the Aurora Islands written by Ulrich Ahornwurzel in 1831 based on existing oral Auroran Annic stories.
History
Historical time frame
The Maainâslodehkirje is composed of four major stories which are traditionally placed in chronological order. It is commonly accepted that all stories of the Maainâslodehkirje take place during the Marauder Age. The exact dates of the two first stories are not known, however, based on supporting archeological and historical evidence, the current approximations are:
- 690 to 760 – Tale of Ráfi the Maiden
- 790 to 854 – The Great Bloodfeud
- 849 to 881 – Tale of Saint Lysimachia
- 974 to 992 – Tale of Éimhín the Converted
