Rosalia (Blaykish: Rousalienne, Ayisiyinowak: Natimayik), is a country in northern Marceaunia Major. It is bordered to the north by the Demontean Ocean to the north and west, the Gulf of Espéther to the east and Pascoia and Wapisqua to the south. Rosalia covers an area of 1,081,940 km2 (417,740 sq mi) making it the Xth largest country in terms of area. It has approximately population of 15,372,929 and is the Xth largest country in terms of population. Rosalia has 4 states and 4 territories; it sits on the Rosalian Peninsula. The capital and largest city of Rosalia is Grellier which lies along the border with Pascoia. Other major urban areas include Sorsoleil, Icho, L'Êtché, and Frémont.

Rosalia was first settled by humans in approximately 3000BCE, the Ayisiyinowak became the most dominant native ethnic group in Rosalia among several dozen groups in the area. In 1699 the first permanent settlement was established by Dgilliaume Grellier in present day Mestaski. Rosalia became an important fur colony for Blayk and several other settlements were founded eventually becoming the colonies of Madawaska, Rosalia, Grellier and Sainte Mèrgot. The colonies were all merged into New Blayk. The various territories in northern New Blayk were merged in 1811. Rosalia gained it's independence in 1856 following the Frontier War. The Fourth Madawaska war caused the collapse of the First Republic of Rosalia in 1865. The subsequent Icho Peace established native autonomy whilst also recognising Rosalia's sovereignty over the natives in the territory.

The revolutionaries — led by Hélyi l'Aungle — established the Rosalian political system and the dominance of the Movement for Revolutionary Democracy (MDR) which was formed in 1866. The MDR governed Rosalia continuously for 105 years, during their governance the country's economy grew rapidly and Rosalia was able to remain neutral in the First Great War. Under pressure from Albrennia, the country ended it's policy of neutrality and entered the Second Great War in 1940. The MDR lost power for the first time in 1970 to the Frontier Coalition. Since 1970 power has alternated between the Frontier Coalition and the MDR. The 1982 eruption of Mount Tchèrli caused thousands of people near Grellier to be evacuated. The eruption was the largest in Rosalian history and caused 21 deaths. Starting in the early 20th century Rosalia became a major destination for immigrants from Surucia, Idica, Marceaunia and Auressia.

Rosalia is considered to be a developed nation with a high average income and high Human Development Index (HDI). It has the second highest GDP per capita and HDI in all of Marceaunia after Albrennia. However income inequality has become an economic problem in Rosalia and has increased substantially since 1970. The country is considered to be a regional power in Marceaunia Major owing to it's developed economy. The country is a member of numerous intergovernmental organisations such and was a founding member of the Assembly of Marceaunian States, the !United Nations etc etc etc.
