Gun laws in the countries in Greater Meridon vary by country. The tables below show the legal status of firearms for civilian use. Laws regarding liscensure are located below that.

Control laws

  Yes (no license): No license required.
  Yes (shall issue): Registration required, but the authorities may not deny license and/or firearm(s) if legal conditions are fulfilled
  Yes (may issue): License required, authorities have final say in whether a person may obtain a license and/or firearm(s). A specific reason may be required in order to obtain license. Alternatively this could mean there is an additional process necessary beyond normal firearms liscensure to obtain a license.
  No: Prohibited.

Type I General Weapons License:

  • A citizen over 16 years of age.
  • Not convicted of violent crimes.
  • No history of mental illness, drug addiction, or alcoholism.

Type II Firearms License:

  • A citizen over 16 years of age.
  • Not convicted of violent crimes.
  • No history of mental illness, drug addiction, or alcoholism.
  • A valid need for the license (sport, hunting, reserve service)
  • Passes a firearms safety course
  • Has a secure locked storage unit for firearms.

Flag of Diamante.png Dorado A candidate must be interviewed by local law enforcement or occupational officials and meet the following qualifications. Those who pass this threshold are then evaluated to determine whether or not they would be a security risk if possessing weapons:
  • A citizen 21 years of age or older.
  • Not convicted of any felony level crimes.
  • No history with the ethnonationalist government, ethnonationalist rebels, or ethnonationalist protest movements.
  • No history of mental illness, drug addiction, or alcoholism.
  • Good eyesight.
  • Must pass a safety course.
  • Must have a secure place to store the weapon.

Flag of Plata.png Plata The candidate must be interviewed by the Platan Civil Security Bureau, and must meet the following requirements to even be considered. For those looking to have more access than to air guns, the candidate must await the decision of the local authorities:
  • A citizen 21 years of age or older.
  • Not convicted of any felony level crimes.
  • No record of engaging in seditious activity.
  • Good eyesight
  • Must pass a safety course.
  • Must have a valid reason to posses a license.
  • Must have a secure place to store the weapon.

Type I: Basic Firearms License:

  • A citizen 18 years of age or older.
  • Not a shirker.
  • No record of violent crimes.
  • No history of mental illness, drug addiction, or alcoholism.
  • Must pass a safety course.
  • Must have a safe place to store the weapon.

Type II: Destructive Weapons License:

  • A citizen 18 years of age or older.
  • Not a shirker.
  • No record of violent crimes.
  • No history of mental illness, drug addiction, or alcoholism.
  • Must pass a safety course.
  • Must have a safe place to store the weapon.
  • Must have completed National Service in the Verdean Armed Forces, and must be either an active Reservist or have completed Reserve Service.
