The Bakyernian Defense Force (Bakyernian: Laakyar Karvimacht) are the armed forces of Bakyern, with a duty of protecting Bakyern's territories and carrying out its wider interests. They encompass of the army, air force, and navy, with the coast guard and border patrol being incorporated during time of wartime. The defense force also carries out efforts in foreign territories such as peacekeeping and providing humanitarian aid. The constitution outlines that the Bakyernian Defense Force is solely responsible for defense and states cannot have their own militaries. They are different from the reserves of the defense force and don't follow the same command structure.
The commander-in-chief of the defense force is the President of Bakyern which is currently Stafen Hansson Ovost. The Bakyernian Defense Force is overseen by the National Ministry of Defense, with the current head of the defense force below the Minister being the Chief of Staff.
