The Panopoulos government (Piraese: Κυβέρνηση Πανοπουλος) is the tenth and current government of the Third Piraean Republic. It was formed the 3 March 2018, several months after the general elections and a month after being granted the declared confidence of the Piraean Senate. It is led by Stamatios Panopoulos, from the Piraese Socialist Workers Union, and counts with ministers from Green Alternative, Piraese Section of the Workers' International, Independent Regionalist Union and the Humanist Centre.
It is the cabinet with the highest number of political parties being represented in the Piraese history and is regarded by the media as the government that has exhibited more centre-left and progressive character. The government was formed after the collapse of Maria Theopeftatou's administration with the withdrawal of confidence from the radical centrist Democrats.
Investiture
The investiture of Panopoulos happened the 3 February 2017 and counted with the support of all parties being represented in the cabinet, which represented 67 seats in the Senate. The investiture debate was marked by the abstention of the six senate members of Change and the switch of the Democrats to the opposition, after forcing the collapse of the PSEE cabinet led by Maria Theopeftatou.
