The Mayor and Governor of Laitstadt (Besmenian: Bürgermeister und Landespräsdent von Laitstadt) is the head of government of the state of Laitstadt and also mayor of Laitstadt. Since Laitstadt, as an independent city, has the status of a Besmenian state, the office of mayor and governor of Laitstadt is comparable to the governors of the other Besmenian states.
The mayor and governor of Laitstadt chairs the Government of Laitstadt, determines the guidelines of government policy, monitors compliance and represents Laitstadt. The current mayor and governor of Laitstadt is Tanja Balzer-Künert (GPB), who has been in office since 22 July 2022. Balzer-Künert is the first woman to hold this office. She has governed in a green-red-red coalition since the 2022 election.
