The longest lasting ceasefire was from 2004-2022, although it had been frequently interspersed with violent incidents between the Lavanan and Hacyinian armed forces.

The Yoloten (Ukilen: Yolotyen; Majgar Yoloten) officially the People's Republic of The Yoloten (Ukilen:Bügd Nairamdakh Yolotyen Ard Uls; Majgar Yoloten Xalıq Respwblïkası) is a landlocked partially recognised state in Southeastern Coius and the Great Steppe, internationally recognized as a part of Hacyinia. It borders Dezevau to the north, Lavana to the East, and Hacyinia to the south and west.

Etymology

The words ýol and öten mean "road" and "past" in Oroqic, leading to the Yoloten meaning "a place to cross". Researchers believe that this etymology arose as the result of the highlands of the Yoloten need to be crossed in order for traders and travelers to cross from Hacyinia into Lavana.

History

Colonization

A part of the Gaullican colonial empire, governed by a Kachai prince with a majority Oroqic and Uklienic population.

Post Colonization

Long standing conflict since the early 1940s between Hacyinia and Lavana over the Yoloten, both sides have some claim to it.

Current Status

Ceasefires

There has been several ceasefires between Lavana and Hacyinia over armed conflicts within the Yoloten. The ceasefire between the two countries have often been mediated by regional powers. Conflict within the Yoloten has alternated between a low intensity conflict between PAMFY forces fighting against pro-Hacyinian militias, as well as direct conflict between Hacyinia and Lavana. The longest lasting ceasefire was from 2004-2022, although it had been frequently interspersed with violent incidents between the Lavanan and Hacyinian armed forces.

Government

The Yoloten is governed by the Provisional Administrative and Military Front of the Yoloten (PAMFY). Much of the leadership of PAMFY subscribes to the Equalist school of socialist thought.

  • Dezevau Dezevau recognised the Yoloten on 26 August 1992.
  • Lavana Lavana recognised the Yoloten on 26 August 1992 after the Yoloten War.
