The Great War was a global conflict taking place between 1928 and 1939. The vast majority of major powers took a stance on opposing sides, commiting enormous miiltary, financial and industrial efforts to achieve victory. Aircraft and naval power took centre stage in strategic operations. Despite the total mobilisation of each nation, the war was only partially successful for the victorious Great Zhi and allies, with relatively minor territorial concessions, and political changes in their enemies.
