Camp/Base Rashi is a large joint forces Central Defence Initiative military base located in the Ross Archipelagos, a crown territory of Belhavia in the central Akkadiya Ocean. Built in the late winter months of 1992 in anticipation of Belhavia's acceptance into the Initiative, the base was intended to be able to host a large number of combat units and due to its geographical location, is able to host substantial aerial, naval and land units. A large port is able to hold ships up to six hundred thousand tonnes in displacement (equivalent to two modern battlegroups) and also deep enough for submarines, while the airfield is large enough to hold and host an entire Air Wing. The barracks can hold up to four battalions or equivalent of ground forces.
Command of Camp/Base Rashi is selected by the leader of the Initiative and Admiral Matthew Wexley of the Commonwealth Navy, was selected as the commander of the overall base because of the large Arthuristan naval contingent at the base. Commanders of units assigned or attached to the base must respect his rank and office, despite any rank differences.
Currently, an Arthuristan People's Marines battalion (3/1 Regiment), the Belhavian IAF No. 17 "Sea Hawks" fighter squadron and IN-NAS No. 3 "Ocean Storm" fighter squadron, and Arthuristan People's Navy "Force Phaeton".
The Eaglelander and Arthuristan squadrons conduct regular combat patrols along heavy-trafficked merchant shipping lanes in eastern waters.
Unlike other CDI bases on Belhavian soil, with the exception of the air wings, Belhavia does not have additional troops posted in the base because the Imperial military garrison in the Ross Archipelagos is already extensive and based in separate facilities. Imperial forces stationed here include the Imperial Navy's 6th Fleet, the EASTCOM Air Command including several squadrons of interceptors, fighter-bombers, and bombers, and the 4th Motorized Infantry Division, which has its headquarters in Port Solomon but has several smaller barracks compounds on the outlying islands of the island chain.
Analysts have remarked that the Ross CDI base is "the largest joint, multinational force in the East." Although the CDI has declined to say if it is targeted at any nation or alliance, Ulthrannia, Anikatia, and the RCO have protested the deployment.
Information on Military Units Present
Most of the CDI member-states with forces deployed at Camp/Base Primoris have their force compositions published on information accessible by the general public.
Eaglelander Forces
Eagleland Forces Ross Archipelago (Greek: Αετοχωρικές Δυνάμεις Αρχιπελάγους Ρός), known as EFRAP or Α.Δ.Α.Ρ., is a small, 1,500-strong garrisson of Eagleland Armed Forces personnel. This consists of the 907th and 908th Marine Forces Battalions, one of which is an air defence and the other a mechanised battalion, and 100 Military Police members, assigned to guard Camp Primoris from terrorist attacks. Furthermore, in the naval component, only one LSD and a destroyer are present.
In spite of this small but token presence at Base Primoris, the proximity of Camp Primoris, and of Ross Achipelagos in general, to Dragonesos and in particular, Base Ypsilantis II (Greek: Στρατόπεδο Υψηλάντη Β'), means that Eaglelander military reinforcements are always available for deployment for the defence of the Ross Achipelago.
Arthuristan Forces
The Arthuristan presence in the base is centred-around the Commonwealth Navy's "Force Fearless", consisting of the Furious-class light carrier HHS Fearless, two Agni-class frigate, two Type-24 frigates, a Triton-class submarine, a Hekate Class LSD, a Round Table-class landing ship logistics, two logistics vessels and 700 troops of the 13th Battalion Group Commonwealth Marines.
