History
Organization
Joint Forces Command operates both permanent and operationally oriented (temporary) formations. For the Army and Air Forces, permanent commands consist of organizations designed to conduct defensive operations in the vicinity of the Meridonian homeland, while the Navy maintains two permanent fleet organizations which handle operational command of deployed units in their region of operation- the Marinan Fleet and the Anagonian Fleet, which handles operations in those two oceans.
Joint Forces Command maintains a staff pool of general level officers to head temporary combatant commands, and can pull any flag officer necessary to serve as a task force commander as necessary, as was done with John Ironwood when he was tapped from his billet as Commander, Land Operations to directly head Combined Task Force Oak Hand in New England.
