The Movement of the Equalist Alternative (Amathian: Ⰿⰹⱎⰽⰰⱃⰵⰰ Ⰰⰾⱅⰵⱃⱀⰰⱅⰹⰲⰵⰹ Ⰵⰳⰰⰾⰹⱄⱅⰵ, tr. Mișcarea Alternativei Egaliste), abbreviated as the M.A.E. (Ⰿ.Ⰰ.Ⰵ.), is an Amathian far-left Equalist party. The Movement considers itself to be the immediate successor and direct heir of the League of Equalist Unity, which was disbanded after the Amathian Revolution. The party was initially illegal, as the newly formed Amathian Democratic Republic refused to acknowledge its existence, until in 1989, when Amathia was convinced by the International Council for Democracy to accept its legal registration.
