Providence, officially the City of Providence, is the fifth most populous city in Zamastan. As of the 2018 census-estimate, it has a population of 6,293,000. Founded in 1764, Providence's Inner Harbor was once the second leading port of entry for immigrants to the Zamastan, when most were coming from across Euronia and Adula. It was also a major manufacturing center. After a decline in major manufacturing, heavy industry, and restructuring of the rail industry, Providence has shifted to a service-oriented economy.

With hundreds of identified districts, Providence has been dubbed a "city of neighborhoods". During The Tariel War, Providence was the site of several Gladysynthian airstrikes, as well as at least one ground incursion.

Providence is home to some of the earliest Zamastanian Registered Historic Districts in the nation, including Providential Waterfront, Commander's Hill, and Dairysdon District. These were added to the ZHD Register between 1969–1971, soon after historic preservation legislation was passed. Nearly one third of the city's buildings (over 65,000) are designated as historic in the Register, which is more than any other Zamastanian city.
