Firada, officially the Kingdom of Firada (Ossorian Gaelic: Ríocht na Firada), is a Kingdom of Ossoria located in the southern portion of the Ossorian Archipelago.
Geography
Firada occupies the entirety of the Rugged Island (Ossorian Gaelic: Oileán Scairbh), located in the south of the Ossorian Archipelago, as well as a number of nearby islands. This location means that the kingdom shares a maritime border with the Kingdom of Kenlis and the Kingdom of Dídean to the north, and Kingdom of Ardliss to the east.
The geography of their island consists primarily of a plateau bounded by rocky beaches and sheer cliff-faced shorelines, giving the island its name. The few suitable beaches for landing made the island difficult for the early waves of colonists to expand into the island and later made the Kingdom
History
Demographics
The 2010 census reported the population of Firada at 18,016,319, making the kingdom the fourth-most populated in the Realm. The largest city in Firada is the city of Rosliath, which is also the capital of the kingdom. The next-largest cities are Áthdara and Díseart.
Economy
The kingdom's economy is primarily driven by the manufacturing and aquaculture sectors. Fishing, mollusk farming and dairy products are important aquaculture products grown in the kingdom. The island's rough coasts made it an attractive location for industrialization during the 19th Century due to its defensibility against coastal raids. The city of Rosliath is the main harbor and transshipping center for the kingdom.
