Football is a popular sport in The UK of Lannistter. The Lannish Football Association is the sport's national governing body. There is a league system with six levels of competition culminating in the LINNEN LFA Premier League whose top-ranked team is the national champion alongside the winner of the Cup of the LFA.
Lannish Football Association
The Lannish Football Association (LFA) is the principle organizing body for Lannish football. The LFA is responsible for administering the league hierarchy and the Team Lann. The body sanctions all professional competitive football in the country. The association has a total of 347 member clubs.
League system
Professional football in Lannistter follows a hierarchical league system with each level of competition promoting and relegating teams to the next higher and lower levels based on their performance. There is a total of 239 clubs playing within the league system in six levels of competition. Each league and division uses a double round-robin system with each club playing every other club twice. Three points are awarded for each win and one point awarded for a tie. Teams are ranked first by total points, then by goal difference, then by total goals scored. The Arkhangelsk Foxes Football Club (AFFC) has the most league championships of any Lannish football club (21).

Cup competitions
The annual Cup of the LFA is open to professional teams of the highest three leagues. The cup is organized as a single elimination knockout tournament. In contrast to the national league system, the Cup of the LFA allows for the possibility of a relatively low-ranked team becoming a national champion. The term "Double Event" is unofficially used when the same team wins both competitions and teams are said to have won the "Double Crown." The Lannistter National Cups are 4 in total, the Premier League Cup (Only the first division competes), the LFA Cup (All teams affiliated to the LFA compete, that is, from the 1st to the 5th division), and the Esperance Cup (played by teams from the 2nd to the 5th Division).
