In 2007, the MBBC announced the creation of a new music show called Music Idol Camp, the show would put several aspiring solo performers against each other, with their performances being judged by a combination of professionals and the popular vote.
As the first season of Musical Idol Camp was coming to a close Ascension Musical Productions was looking for a new group to help promote Malgravean culture overseas and started to scout talent from Musical Idol Camp as prospective new members.
