Rhee Chae-Yeong (born 11th of February 1990) is a Malgravean idol. Chae-Yeong first gained fame as a member of Eclipse, however, since the groups hiatus they have expanded to acting performing in MalContents and Ancestral Guest House.
Due to her successful acting and musical career Chae-Yeong has often been nicknamed as the nations idol and has a multitude of deals with a variety of popular brands in the country.
Early Life
Chae-Yeong was born in the city of Rensk on the 11th of February 1990, at this time Malgrave was experiencing a period of economic stagnation and both her parents went through periods of unemployment.
In the 90s the Ancestral Study Group was engaged in charitable efforts across the country to alleviate the poverty crisis, as a part of this process the ASG started offering musical lessons to talented students, with Chae-Yeong taking one of these places.
Chae-Yeong initially focused her efforts studying the violin, however, after performing in several competitions and performing admirably against competitors from Omsk she was convinced to apply for the trainee vocalist academy at Ascension Musical Productions.
Musical Career
Eclipse
Chae-Yeong spent the next few years with Ascension Musical Productions in their idol training programme, however, their break came in 2007 when they competed in the first season of Music Idol Camp.
Chae-Yeong finished 19th out of 100 candidates, and her popularity on local social media resulted in her being selected to lead Eclipse, a girl group being formed by Ascension Musical Productions to help promote Malgravean culture.
As the leader of Eclipse Chae-Yeong rose to national attention, with her vocal range and looks being praised by Shadows, the fandom of the group.
At this time Chae-Yeong and other members of Eclipse starred in adverts for various Malgravean products, with MalTec releasing a variant of the Ascension that allowed users to change the automated voice to their favourite member.
Solo
Chae-Yeong took a small break from her musical career to focus on her acting, however, on 2020 this break was stopped when she announced the production of a new album called Memories of Tomorrow.
Since then Chae-Yeong has released a few albums covering a multitude of style from city pop, soft rock and work inspired by popular Dornalian and Silverdalean artists, and she has appeared on Weekly Music Countdown and Music Showcase as a performer to promote her work.
Acting Career
In the start of 2018 Eclipse announced that they would be entering a hiatus, soon after this announcement Chae-Yeong released a statement thanking Shadows for their support and stating their interest to enter into the field of acting.
A few weeks after this announcement Chae-Yeong was brought on board to star in the short series Parenthood, the series was praised for bring attention to issues around social solidarity and Chae-Yeong received favourable reviews for her emotive acting.
Chae-Yeong then performed in the 2019 film MalContents with Yukika Saito, with the project being promoted heavily by fandoms of both artists.
From 2019 Chae-Yeong has been a major character in the series Ancestral Guest House, as Kim Eun-Ji the owner of the hotel. Chae-Yeong also serves as a judge on Music Idol Camp and occasionally hosts episodes of Weekly Music Countdown and Music Showcase

Personal Life
Following a break break due to her musical career Chae-Yeong completed her educational pursuits in 2014, with the performer graduating from Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).
Chae-Yeong donates a large portion of her yearly revenue to the Ancestral Study Group and has previously travelled to Crystal Spires and Altea to personally volunteer in charitable work.
In 2020 Chae-Yeong helped fund efforts to archive old content broadcast on Malgravean Broadcasting Service.
