Askye (Askyen: Askyea) is a country in northern Thuadia located in the Sivuk Gulf. The nation shares borders with Aleni in the north, Astariax and Kiyortza in the west, Vescarium in the south and Zefristan to the east. The nation is made up of around 15,450,000 as an estimate for 2021. The capital of Askye is the city of Coventry, also with the nations highest metropolitan population.
The indigenous Bandi people have inhabited the region for a majority of the history, dating back to around 350 B.C.E. The majority of the nation is made up of Sivuk people who arrived from Aleni in the 14th Century. As a consequence, the indigenous people's populations have greatly decreased as the nation is a majority Sivuk in 2021.
Askye's independence as it is today came after sovereignty was guaranteed following the collapse of the Sivuk Empire around a chiliad ago and the country has existed in the same, or similar, form since then, however with much change in borders.
