The Reservoir of Lustre is a large, rectangular reservoir or artificial lake in Dongjing. It was built during the Li Dynasty along with the Northern Apartments and the Daming Palace. It is fed by the Lai River through underground pipes and also drains into the Lai, and once provided drinking water for the city. It is also stocked with fish, and boating is a common recreational activity, as is swimming. The Dongjing Central Complex sits near the reservoir.
