Ereska (Ereskanese: Ереска), is a Province in the North-East of Kentalis on the Laurentine Coast. Occupying an area of 17,024 km², Ereska borders Bisvenia and Kartin, together with an international border with Placeholderstan. As of 2021, Ereska has a population of 4,520,950, of which more than four million are native Ereskanese.
Ereska has a deep history, being the first area in Kentalis which was inhabited by humans. Ereska was an independent state for a large part of its history, starting with the Kingdom of Saint Jovan, which was succeeded by the Ereskanese Kingdoms. By 1753, the Ereskanese kingdom was pushed out of Živislavgrad, and was hosted in Puzniki, where the kingdom was reformed into a Republic. During the Great War, Ereska fought on the Iron pact's side, which lost the war. The Ereskanese state ceased to exist afterwards, with the only attempt to refound being done during the civil war. after the civil war, Ereska integrated further with Kentalis, which decreased the racial tention between the two. The Ereskanese language was the first language besides Kental to be recognised as a National language. Furthermore, Ereska is the home of the Jovanist Church, giving it great religious importance for Jovanists.
The largest city in Ereska is Živislavgrad, which is also the province's capital. Other large cities are Puzniki, Konjimož, Lojače and Više. The Ereskanese economy is mostly reliant on its agriculture and fishing sectors, together with its heavy industry. A coalition of the Liberal Party, the Democratic-Christian Union, the People's Party and the Ereskanese National Party forms the executive branch. The province is divided into 18 municipalities.
