The Stridsvagn 125 Ozelot is a main battle tank developed by Landsverk AB as an experimental program. Derived from trials on captured Syaran Minotaurs from the Refusal War, the Strv 125 persisted as a testbed initially for technical experimentation, and then as a prospective export vehicle. The vehicle bears strong superficial similarity with contemporary Syaran tanks such as the Myrmidon, but contains extensive mechanical and technical differences. Numerous external components were copied directly from captured Syaran vehicles. The most visually distinctive feature is the Strv 125's larger turret, which houses a cassette-style autoloader with the magazine situated behind an armoured bulkhead within a massively expanded turret bustle. This is in comparison to Syaran designs, which use a carousel autoloader within the hull. Additional space was saved with the choice of hydropneumatic suspension over torsion bars, which critically allow the vehicle to "lean" forwards or backwards in order to compensate for poor gun depression. The extra space was used to help improve the internal protection and armour of the vehicle, with the driver situated further back behind strengthened frontal armour. The Strv 125 was fitted with an Acrean-made 120mm main gun, capable of using Acrean-made ammunition.
