Vyverie is a Vyvlander ferry company which operates services between Vyvland, Unolia and the Northwestern Esquarian mainland. Vyverie is considered to be one of the 'big two' Vyvlander ferry companies along with L&A Veries. The company is headquartered in the southwestern Vyvlander port town of Lishag, from where it operates multiple services. It also holds stakes in cross-Haddock Sea goods ferry company Transhekt.
Name
The name Vyverie is a portmanteau of Vyv-, from Vyvland's name, and verie, the Vyvlander word for 'ferry' (to which it is cognate).
History
Vyverie was formed in 1992 as an amalgamation of three Vyvlander ferry companies: Vyzep, Temsvaal-Arje-Kirklund and Wesdesee. Immediately upon its formation, it became the most-used Vyvlander passenger ferry company. Today it operates thirteen routes from Vyvland, and has recently conducted a feasability study into a Jerusalem-Viirilinna route for goods and passenger traffic.
