Tanahashi Susaya (21 March 1831 - 17 October 1927) was a Rubrumian officer and soldier known for his roles during the Concordian Civil War. He became Rubrum's leading commander in 1862 and was the youngest commander throughout the war. He was only 31 when he became a Brigadier.
He is also the grandfather of famous EWI and EWII general Murakamo Susaya. He is considered by his family as the patriarch of their family's military heritage.
Early Life
Born to a Nihhonese Merchant father and a Lucian mother, Tanahashi was the only child of his parents. Growing up in Kingston, he often helped his father in selling tea. He grew to be a very bright child and was loved by his parents. He finished his studies at a local school. He was later sent to Lucis to study college. Enrolling in the Royal Military Academy of Woolwich, He graduated with a rank of Captain and returned to Rubrum in order to serve in the Rubrumian Militia. In 1857, when the Rubrumian Defence Law was passed, the Militia force became the Rubrumian Defence Force. Susaya was given the command of a regiment. He was eventually promoted to Colonel in 1859.
