Rail transport in Chenes is a vital mode of transportation and important to the economy of the Chenique Republic for the transportation of both goods and services. Originally dominated by the Great Seven that rose during the Chenique Coal Rush, the national government nationalized the Great Seven companies into a singular state-owned organization called the Chenique National Railroad Society under the control of the Department of Transportation. The Chenique National Railroad Society also runs several railroads that run transnational, including to Gristol-Serkonos through the Great Norumbrian Railroad.
