The Inter-Ottonian Conflict is the name for a series of ultimately directly-related conflicts dating back to the Ottonian Wars of Unification and the struggle for control over the nation.
While the battle lines in such a long conflict did not remain entirely the same, for the most part the belligerents were divided between "progressives" and "conservatives", most-often (if not exclusively) embodied by pro-Republican and pro-Monarchy forces respectively.
